Howard Johnson by Wyndham Bakersfield

Easy check-in. It seemed like a family lived in an area of the hotel and were the ones keeping it going. The bad - All said by other reviewers, but we still tried it for one night. Unsafe, we left to get dinner that evening and returned to two Sheriff cars in the parking lot investigating what seemed to be a break-in. The Wifi Doesn't work. There's no phone in the room. There was black mold growing in the tub and on the shower curtain. There was no breakfast as advertised, not even coffee. We had to turn on the TV to help muzzle out all the neighbors who were talking into the night, but it did quite down about 3am. The wall AC/Heater was about as loud as a 70's ford when it was on.. It took us about 20 minutes to get the TV working. Many stains that seemed were never cleaned, all over the walls. You really get the feeling of being on your own, once it's late evening until about 9 or 10am when the family re-opens the front entrance..

I guess the one thing I liked was the price . Everything else was horrible. Only 1 roll of toilet paper which was more than half done, smelled like CRAP, stains on the bed/floors, eyelashes stuck on the walls, asked for a non-smoking room but still got a smoking room. && don’t get me started on the ladies in the front... HORRIBLE. Never staying here again.

The suite I booked was dirty. The jacuzzi tub started leaking and the carpet got wet. They were able to switch us to another room. Horrible experience I will never go back to that place.

Terrrible cigarette smell in the room. tv didnt work even when i asked for help. Didnt give breakfast as stated on reservation.

I would like to have a clean bed line. There are only one a bar soap and one tube shampoo in a bathroom, no coffee mashine , no tea and no paper cups in room. No braekfast, but it was included.

Very rude and very unprofessional staff. Never again.

It Was raining outside at the time of checkin. i had to stand in ran and give my id card through a window. they did not allow us into the reception area even though it was raining and cold outside. It was 10pm in the night. At the time of booking, i saw that there was breakfast available. however there was no breakfast provided.

You pay for what you get The place smells like curry. We double paid because Wotif took our money and we also paid over the counter. It took some major talking to get the male staff member to ring up and re emburse us But he did it in the end and all was good
