Absolutely wonderful stay! Rented a goegeous room in the castle for a couple days for husband and I 27 yr wedding anniversary, and we had a blast! Big bwautiful castle with big spacious rooms. My husnams and I stayed during the week and we practically had the whole castle to ourselves!! The Inn keeper is amazing! Lemon water and cookies available all day. Lots of choices for breakfast. Lots of land and garden to walk and roam. This place is beautiful and very comfortable! I'm so glad we got a room in this castle instead of a typical hotel. Are room was huge! Loved, loved, loved. Will stay at again when I come back to this area of the states.

1. There was zero lighting and the parking was about a mile from the hotel, in the dark! 2. There was no WiFI, even though Wifi was supposed to be available and the reception on my phone to call out was zero. 3. There was no egress or access after 10pmET. 4. There was no outlet to plug in the TV when the AC was plugged in. 5. There was a flood in the room above us, causing the ceiling to collapse while we were asleep and followed by a flood of water entering the room. 6. We checked out at 10:30pm, and was assured by the Hotel Manager that we would not be charged, yet we have a charge on my AMEX.

"Overall, I would definitely recommend The Castle as quite a unique experience."

9.0

The innkeeper, Vinnie, was friendly and accommodating. My room was beautiful and I felt more relaxed once I settled in. The continental breakfast was great, with a large assortment of various goodies. The grounds are beautiful and very serene.

Since I arrived after dark (not recommended), and having never been there before, getting checked in and then having to go park was a little stressful. The parking lot wasn't far but it's a dark walk back to the castle.

I was treated like a guest with a mint on my pillow, a tour when requested, and complimentary treats. The grounds are breathtaking and endless, with lots of trails to explore. Breakfast was on the veranda overlooking the koi pond. Rooms are nice. Bathrooms are shared for base rooms between a few rooms, but you are basically spending a night in a museum, so who cares!
