"Hotel in a rustic location"

6.0

The service staff were great. However the hotel is not maintained in line with its stature as a hertiage property. The prices paid were in line with a five sar property but the maintenance standards were of a three star property.

"Good but not great!"

8.0

The hotel is situated between Sadari and Ranakpur, not among the hills but not very far from them. It is on the bank of a river, though being down-stream of a dam, there is little prospect of water in the river. Being a palace, the building is imposing but charming with extensive gardens. Room that we stayed in was neat, with period furniture. It was OK but not one would expect from hotel this pricy. The AC was little noisy, window type. Bathroom was a late addition to the original room with a rather bad design. As an example, the towel rack in was right above the commode! The shower curtain opened behind the commode! The dresser in the room did not have a light! Then there were minor irritants. They do not provide even a single mineral water bottle, or a pair of bathroom slippers. The DTH from Sun TV provided only one or two English or sports channels. Again, not a show stopper, but definitely an irritant. Staff is very cooperative and service is excellent. They took the trouble of packing our breakfast at 6:15 in the morning! Food quality is reasonable. Overall, good but not great and definitely not value for money.

"A restful oasis..."

10.0

This is a gorgeous hotel in a beautiful and peaceful area. The room was large and nicely equipped with a lovely shower and all the amenities you would expect of a more expensive hotel. We had a bit of a problem with the light in the bathroom but it was fixed immediately when brought to their attention. Only negative is that the breakfast is not included and it is quite expensive compared to other hotels. We ate dinner at the hotel and it was very good but, again, relatively expensive. Service was a bit too attentive but probably because the restaurant was empty. It also has a nice bar area. The pool is lovely, as are the grounds.

"Overpriced"

6.0

Although it is easy to imagine the magnificence of this hotel 'once upon a time' -- it is far from the status quo however. There is plenty of staff - mostly walking around somewhat aimlessly. The food was the worst we had throughout our entire 10 day stay in India, the staff was not helpful and the room although clean could use a lot of work with the drapes being stained, the blanket grimy and the tea kettle stinky. The accommodations are simply is not worth the cost! We were eager to leave.

"Absolute delight"

10.0

On our third consecutive holiday to India and second holiday to Rajasthan, the Fateh Bagh proved to be a highlight. The service was friendly and personal; the rooms were charming and full of character; the location is beautiful, and well placed for both the temples at Ranakpur (a must! our second visit and they surpassed our memory), and the fantastic fort at Kumbalgargh. It is a tranquil and peaceful place where relaxation comes guaranteed. We will definitely be back.

"Agradable experiencia en el Fategh Bagh."

10.0
