"Wish I had never seen this hotel"

Check in counter monitor completely hid counter/desktop at register and I experienced a theft from my wallet as I exited lobby and the next guest stole all the cash from my wallet that I inadvertantly left on the counter/desktop as I walked back to my car. The night manager could not see what happened right in front of him as I had approximately $1,000.00 in cash stolen from my wallet right in front of him less than 3 feet away due to the setup at this counter. This incident is being handled by the DA for this county right now and they are working on settling this crime. I can't believe anyone running a hotel with this type of counter coverup while business is being transacted while checking in can not be at fault for contributing to theft of left behind property of guests. I will never stay at a hotel again that has this type of counter/desk check-in setup.

"I feel like we paid too much per night for the small rooms and economical breakfast."

Perfect location for wedding at The Lumpkin House. Plenty restaurants close by. Staff was amazing. Breakfast was good.

Our curved shower curtain rod was not secured to the wall very well, so the shower curtain wouldn’t stay closed, both ends slid to the middle. The room was hot when we arrived, and the thermostat needed new batteries, the staff took care of that immediately.
