Estrella de Belem

We recently stayed at the boutique hotel Estrella de Belem in Cholula, Puebla, and my family and I were wowed by the uniqueness of the place as well as the excellent all-around service provided by the staff. From the moment that we walked in, the feeling was a good one. Saying that this hotel is beautiful is an understatement. It has an old design with a modern feel. The decor is fantastic, and most importantly, the entire place is clean and quiet. The pool area is not very large, but it is beautiful, and it has a great view of Our Lady of Remedies Church located on a fantastic nearby hill. The hotel is very close to most of the"things to see in Cholula." You can walk to the archeological center, museums, churches, El Zocalo, shops, cafes, restaurants (including a vegan restaurant), the train, and so much more! The staff is helpful, friendly, cordial, professional, and hospitable (especially Gabriela). The breakfast at this hotel is delicious; the bread is baked in-house. Everything about the experience will feel like high quality. My sister has worked for a well-known worldwide hotel organization, and she was impressed by Estrella de Belem. She wants to go back and bring her husband. After checking out, we received a thank you email from the hotel. If you visit Cholula, Puebla, this is the place where you will want to stay. We certainly will.

Wonderful home made breakfast by request. Staff was super helpful at check in, they helped us park our car (indoor) and answered all of our questions. Check in was super fast and efficient, as opposed to many other hotels in Mexico. Beautifully restored property, exquisitely landscaped spaces, amazing rooms/great atmosphere!

We just returned from 6 days at the Estrella de Belem. It is a beautiful former home. Our room was gorgeous, the bathroom was grand and spotless. Our stay came with a daily breakfast which was next level. Fresh juice, coffee, danish, fruit kebabs with chocolate sauce, yogurt with granola, then a main course. Breakfast was our main meal of the day. It was elegantly served and delicious.The service and attention to detail was fabulous. There is a small rooftop pool which my daughter enjoyed in the late afternoons. Within minutes of her going to the pool, someone would arrive with towels.The hotel is well located. We can’t say enough good things about this hotel. When we first arrived, there was loud music coming from a nearby club. We were concerned that we weren’t going to be able to sleep. The hotel’s manager took our complaint seriously and lodged a complaint with the club The noise was no longer a problem. 6/5

We were very comfortable during our stay, very quiet

The staff was very courteous and friendly, always a smile and a greeting. Our room named Giorgione, was spacious with a very tall beamed ceiling, two wonderful double beds each with many pillows, heated tile floor for coolest night, a/c for day if need. The attached bath/shower with great water pressure and spacious tub, thick monogramed towels and bath robes, extra lotions, soaps etc., the sink is huge and beautiful with brushed stainless fixtures, two lights and exhaust fan. The maid did an excellent job daily. There is a courtyard with benches, grass and topiary trees in front of the room. The short hall leads to the finest breakfast you can imagine. One can order the night before and it is served by a tuxedoed waiter and helpers. The chef is supreme. Fine coffees, rolls, eggs, shrimp, avocado all sliced with precision and assembled into a work of art. This is a 5 star hotel with gourmet kitchen dining in a pleasant courtyard. Easy walk to pyramid, 3 blocks, other restaurants, and shopping.

Can't say enough positive about this hotel and its staff. Rooms were spacious and charming. The breakfasts were 4 star - homemade breads, fabulous breakfast entries. We also did massages and they were good as well. Would definitely return. Excellent value.

Location is perfect, the staff is very helpful and friendly. And the breakfast - well let me just say you are in for a culinary treat!

There is no lighted sign at the entrance to this small hotel, so it is very difficult to find it if you have to check in at night. This is a large house at the corner of two streets in downtown, but the main door is not so evident. Even a very small lighted sign would make a big difference, please! Room #1 is very spacious, comfortable bedding, nice bathroom. Breakfast is delicious.
