There is no one to greet you at this inn. Your key is taped to the door and you just let yourself in. I don't think I ever saw the innkeeper. The lady who makes the breakfast in the morning is lovely. Otherwise, I saw no staff. I never got a final bill because I never saw anyone but the lady who makes the breakfast. The water in the shower goes from hot to scalding with no warning.The room I stayed in was on the first floor right next to the back entrance and somewhat isolated. It was very poorly lit. The property is very old and the bathroom needs some work. Real B&B's have staff that greets you at the door; the lack of a staff presence made it feel like you're just renting a room. I purposely chose a B& B because I am a woman who was traveling alone. I think the Holiday Inn has a more personal touch.

Lovely, stately old home converted to a comfortable B&B in a quiet, upscale neighborhood just 3 minute walk to William & Mary, and 5 minute walk to both colonial Williamsburg and general shopping. Very safe neighborhood! The bathroom was small but efficient and en suite. Several cozy sitting rooms and reading nooks for wind-down time. This is a B&B, so my expectation was around privacy, location and a personal experience compared to an impersonal hotel with pool and jacuzzi. The breakfast was delicious! The chef prepared unique versions of old favorites, as well as cereals, yoghurts, etc. Then tasty, moist baked goodies to munch on throughout the day. The chef and morning hostess were warm and welcoming - providing excellent services and personal attention. I will definitely return!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Williamsburg Manor. We liked the proximity to Merchant Square. Breakfast was fabulous! It is a very quaint, lovely and quiet B&B to spend an evening or more.

What a lovely time we had at this excellent location. Lovely room, excellent breakfast n the honesty pig for the cold drinks was a great idea. We made good use of that during our very comfortable 3 night stay
