Hilton Garden Inn Houston/Sugar Land

We had a king size bed with a Jacuzzi tub, and it had 2 bathrooms. One of the bathrooms was broken and needed to be fixed and the Jacuzzi tub started spitting out black sediment. The Jacuzzi was for my husband to be able to get help with his lower back pain, but he was unable to get relief due to jacuzzi being dirty. We told the front desk they wanted to move us to a smaller room, but we had already had all our stuff in it. They were not going to comp us for the room. But they did offer to move us to a smaller room and give us breakfast vouchers, which we already had. The pot smell was overwhelming. We just gave up asking them and dealt with the crappie situation. So much for paying extra for the jacuzzi and bigger room.

I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Sugar Land for 5 nights, having booked from the UK in advance and being my first time in Houston. To say I was underwhelmed by the state of the room for the extortionate amount I was charged is an understatement. Tired and worn out carpets, leaking bathroom, no housekeeping etc. I complained and despite all this, due to the fact that I was there to celebrate with a dear friend and I had paid in advance, I was pretty much stuck. Whist going through by credit card statement today, to utter consternation, I noticed that my deposit was not refunded. Upon enquiring, the hotel stated that I broke a lamp! An outrageous and wholly deceptive lie! Perhaps punishment for complaining or a deceptive ploy to retain my deposit. I was never contacted about this and was only informed today, 2 full weeks after I checked out, because I noticed that my deposit was not refunded on my credit card and called to enquire why. Outrageous! Do not stay here!!

The overall experience was wonderful. The hotel staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The Hotel is beautiful and the rooms were very clean and extremely spacious. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

This hotel was not only clean with great staff it has the most wonderful smell right when the doors open. What a great stay!

The room was cozy

Awful stay. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. There was a cricket in my room that chirped all night, so I couldn’t sleep at all. On top of that, the room was full of dust, and I spent the whole night sneezing. It was impossible to get any rest. For a Hilton brand hotel, this is completely unacceptable. I will never stay here again and do not recommend it to anyone.

I like the location it's close to the Financial Smart Center. Clean, Comfortable and spacious rooms. Also it had microwave and fridge.

I didn't like the TV it was only cable, no YouTube, Netflix, Prime, etc.
