We had an amazing holiday we loved everything

We stayed for 7 nights as part of our Great Rail Journeys booking which included an all inclusive package combined with daily guided outings. Everything was very well done, with a good breakfast buffet each morning and attentive staff who ran a very efficient service. The only niggle was the queue for the barista coffee station as there was only one staff member on the station (she was amazing and the coffee was great, but Italian families tended to order multiple coffees per person at a time which caused long queues). We only had a few lunches at the hotel as we were out on trips most days but they provided a packed lunch which we could make up ourselves from the breakfast buffet. Evening meals were very good, with lots of choice and you were served your main dishes from the buffet stations which worked well. We had a pleasant white wine included on our tables and there was Peroni on tap and red and white wine also on tap (although the tap red was a bit rough, we were able to swap our white for a nice Negroamara if the staff weren't too snowed under). The rooms were clean and the beds comfy. The shower water pressure and heat was excellent, but the bathroom was tight on storage/shelf space. Room safe and fridge both worked fine and there were tea/coffee making facilities. The pool areas were OK, a bit grubby underfoot but there were plenty of sunbeds and both pools were clean and warm. The staff on the pool bar weren't generally very friendly, certainly not service with a smile here! But a good range of all inclusive drinks were available. The private beach is a 5 minute walk across a road and is tiny so most people walked along in either direction for a couple of minutes to swim off the rocks instead. This is a family hotel and was an unusual choice for an older group tour holiday, but it was only a base from which we had some amazing days out and we didn't mind the noise and hustle and bustle around the pools and sometimes in the dining area. So although we were not the typical customer demographic, we enjoyed our stay and all of the young families seemed to be having a great time.

I chose this holiday with The Great Train Co as it was advertised as 4*. Sadly, it was not. I liked the accommodations, it was clean and had excellent air con but most of my group thought it was due an update, which I suppose it was to be deemed 4*. However, I really did not rate the food. I struggles with it, not because I am a fussy eater but because it was so repetitive and boring. The packed lunches were a disgrace. I MUST mention the Spa. Do not use it. I have very bad experiences. It was very expensive and very, very noisy. One cannot enjoy a massage when there is excessive noise. The massage itself was good, but there was a total lack of communication.. the following day I had a pedicure. I was quite horrific. The beautician did not seem to have any idea of how to conduct the treatment. NO communication, door left open, and dreadful noise from the pool. The treatment was soo painful. I said ‘Aw’ twice. And it was ignored. My feet were sore for 3 days afterwards.May feet and legs were just plonked from one position to another. Never experienced anything like it. I did ask to speak to the director of the hotel. She was very pleasant and promised to speak to the person responsible. Looking back I should have asked for compensation but, foolishly, I did not. I am quite angry about the situation as I spent €120 on the treatments. I have been lucky enough to travel the world and enjoy treatments wherever I have been and NEVER experienced anything this. Totally unacceptable and if standards do not improve they should cease trading. I would agree with my fellow travellers that , at the moment - overall, this hotel is struggling to be classed as 3 star. Iona Evans Wales

Terrible hotel one star at best nothing good to say about it, paper cups no juice am canteen style food felt like a prison , not sure where great rail journeys come in from the tour operator , 2 average trains like home rest was coaches , guide was good area fantastic and people around us made it on the trip

Abbiamo soggiornato un solo giorno, è stato però difficile dover andare via dopo essere stati un solo giorno in struttura.. ci siamo divertiti tanto, super organizzata per grandi e piccini, struttura pulita: dalle camere ai luoghi comuni, nessun mozzicone di sigarette per terra, animatori top, siamo davvero felici.. ritorneremo senz’altro. GRAZIE!

Reception is very assisting and breakfast is delishious.

No USB plugs and at reception no plugs for british plugs!

It is a big, cozy and clean resort. Very good food.
