the location on the cliff, the views and beach below the manager did everything in his scope to make our stay more comfortable the pizzas on the beach club are really good

It was a huge disappointment vs expectations and price paid (over 600$ a night). If you pay a lower price and you think of it as a 4 star resort, then it's acceptable. We never got the villa we booked on this platform. Following complaints, we were moved to other villas, some smaller, some bigger. But always different to what we booked. The entire experience was not 5 star, the list is long... (on arrival/departure no help with suitcases, they give you a cheap office chair to sit down at the desk (at a 5 star resort!) , the breakfast is crowded and you have to queue for a place, tiny ridiculous buffet (we found out the 2nd day that for "our price" we could order from the menu), the phones in the villa are out of order (one was not even connected to the wall!), the elevator to the beach is not working (you have to take a bus or go down 300 steps), the entire resort is a dangerous labyrinth of walls..

The staff was very friendly and the reef just outside the beach was lovely. The service was also great, with quick responses. The app worked really well!

The property was very far away from the hustle and bustle of Uluwathu. Access for disabled non existent as lots of steps. You have to be superfit to get to the beach as if you go with shuttle bus, there are still quite a number of high steps to climb/descend. There was also a very hard sell on becoming a member and felt ambushed by the sales team. Lobby very small and crammed.

Villa was nicely presented, and private. Staff where diligent on keeping pool area and villa clean however on our arrival there was the prior people staying at Villa plates, and ice bucket left for 2 days on steps leading into our villa !

House keeping was slack, some days we had hands towels, next day we didn’t, then had no complementary fruit (As advised) The prices within the resort for food, drink were heavily loaded up, x4 times when compared to outside the resort at other destinations like Seminyak, Kuta etc. villa had no washing facilities for cleaning of beach gear or anywhere to hang wet beach/pool clothes ? Plus no food storage cupboard for snacks etc. During our stay Karma group did a sales pitch about joining Karma club, they asked how was our reception, of which we informed them, disappointed as the welcome was poor. They replied saying, “oh it’s because you used Booking.com and not direct with Karma group ! If we had apparently booked with Karma group our experience would have been totally different!!! Also, during our stay, construction noise daily occurred whilst trying to relax at our pool area, so we ended up at beach most days due to noise pollution ongoing as another resort being built next door.

The villa we upgraded into was old and falling apart. Cellophane holding wall tiles together (told by the staff that’s fine) mold on the shower etc. the staff there are constantly trying to upsell. I messaged to tell them to stop yet they turned up at the villa two more times unannounced and many more calls to offer deals on packages and events. Even on the beach they would come down to try and upsell.

We enjoyed all the facilities on offer. We look forward to when the beach cable car is re-opened.
