Karma Kandara

We have been regulars at Di Mare for dining and at Karma Beach over the years. However, during our last visit to the bar at Karma Beach before the dinner at Di Mare, the finger food was exclusively Indian, and its Indian decor felt out of place. Given the heat and the gorgeous view of white sand, lighter, more refreshing options would be better. This place used to be very chic, but now I wonder why they chose an Indian theme all over, even for the beach bar in Bali—it seems to be losing its charm. The only thing that has been quite consistent is their staff, who are very hospitable and attentive.

We loved our stay at karma kandara. Our villa was amazing and the view spectacular. The location is like heaven on earth. The private beach is a wonderful place to enjoy a cold beverage and experience one the best ocean views in Bali. We can’t wait to visit again.

Super cool location right on a big beautiful cliff overlooking ocean view of about 160 degree! Additionally, you get Indian food on beach at Ganesha Samudra restaurant too!!!

Spent a week in Karma Kandara, from the minute we booked we received excellent attention to detail and personal assistance from the Concierge. Upon our arrival the friendly, informative assistance continued for the whole of our stay. Entertainment, food, beverages were all outstanding and very affordable.

We stayed at Karma Kandara with my family in a 2-Bedroom Villa from 28 February 2026 to 7 March 2026, and it was truly an amazing experience. Located in the Uluwatu area of South Bali, this is a spectacular resort with breathtaking views. The infinity pool overlooking the ocean is stunning, and the private beach is one of the most beautiful we have seen. Every corner of the resort is incredibly photogenic. The food was very good, and all the restaurants served excellent dishes. The staff members across the resort were very courteous, helpful, and professional, making our stay even more enjoyable. During our Bali visit, we stayed in a beautiful **2‑BHK villa at Karma Kandara**, complete with a private swimming pool and bathtub. Perched on the cliffs of Ungasan, Uluwatu, this luxury resort is known for its dramatic limestone setting, private beach, and serene villa-style living. With its Balinese architecture, private pools, and sweeping Indian Ocean views, it truly feels like one of Bali’s most exclusive hideaways.

Recently stayed at Karma Kandara in January 2026. To say this was not a great experience is an understatement. This was our second time coming to Kandara so our expectations were high, unfortunately this trip was a complete disappointment. On our first night the air conditioning in the master bedroom was making an incredibly loud noise like a lawn mower plus dripping water all over the bed making it difficult to sleep. At approximately 3am it got even louder then came a burning smell like an electrical fire. We obviously turned it off which made for no sleep for the rest of the night. This also woke my children up who could not go back to sleep. We then wanted have some water to which the water filter had not been replaced when we checked in. After contacting reception we were told we had to wait till 8am for water. After advising them we needed water they reluctantly brought us some. We then spoke to reception about the air conditioning system, we were advised that it needed to be fixed and they would send the engineering team. We asked to be moved to another villa but this was declined. We then spent 3 1/2hrs in the villa while they “fixed” the problem. First day of our holiday wasted! The second night the air conditioning unit felt like it was raining on our heads all night. Again no sleep! We were then meeting with the sales team, we advised them of the issues. They managed to get us moved to a 3 bedroom villa for our final night. Too little too late! Also the beds in our initial villa were like sleeping cement. As Karma members we expect better service and better quality. Completely disappointed and will never be back to Kandara let alone Bali.

We really enjoyed our stay at this resort perched high on the cliff top. The staff is great and the food excellent. The Indian restaurant was very good. The Beach BBQ was a bit noisy, so after our sunset cocktail, we headed over to the Indian restaurant. We highly recommend this resort.
