Much better experience this time. We were not on the ground floor, so it was much quieter. The staff on duty were much friendlier too. The breakfast was okay. We ordered pizza from next door and it was delivered without issue to our room.

"Just Okay"

The room was clean. The hotel is central to Mexia Lake, shopping, and restaurants. Upon check in we reported an issue with the room reservation we were given; someone had recently smoked in the room. We were immediately assigned another room. Continental breakfast was good. This has been our fifth stay at this location, and it is our hotel of choice in Mexia.

This stay wasn’t as pleasant as our previous stays at this location have been. Our room had very uncomfortable beds and the pillows are in definite need of replacement. Also, the thermostat in the room was not working, so the room was either incredibly hot or freezing cold. In addition, our room was located on the first floor outside of the housekeeping office and employee entrance to the front desk. The employees were very loud in the hallway in the early morning hours, they also were very loud when they went outside to smoke in the common areas. The excessive noise made sleeping very difficult.

"Our stay was great"

Breakfast was good. We had breakfast both mornings we stayed at the hotel. Location of the hotel was convenient for our travels to and from Hubbard, Texas.

We liked everything. Front desk staff was nice and helpful when checking in and checking out. We ran into an issue with our room key on our first night at the hotel and the front staff was helpful and quick to getting one of our room keys reactivated.
