"Good"

I'll start by saying we didn’t stay at Candlewood but rather their sister hotel Studio 6 (motel 6). Four days prior to our arrival we were bounced out of Candlewood and moved to Studio 6. They did take care of moving the reservation with the exception of taking care of the difference in prices between the two. Because we booked with Expedia we had to do it. With that said we were very happy with the Studio 6 and the ratings about the rooms and staff are about Studio 6 not Candlewood Suites.

"Candlewood changed my reservation because they were overbooked"

I booked a room at the Candlewood in November 2023 for a weekend stay in mid April 2024. On 4/13 I got a call from the manager, Shawn, saying they were overbooked and moving me to their sister property 15 minutes away. I had specifically booked this hotel because I’m running the marathon and wanted to be close to the race. I booked through Expedia so, unfortunately, it’s non refundable. My friend had booked the Candlewood as well (not through Expedia) and she got a call today that they couldn’t accommodate her reservation and they were moving her to another property even farther away. Don’t book this hotel unless you want to deal with a place that doesn’t know how to honor reservations.

Night staff was really friendly and helpful. Building is older and shows it. Surprised that there was no breakfast but with full kitchen and stores nearby, we managed fine. We won't choose this hotel again although it IS convenient.

"Not worthy of the price."

Location

Are called suites but room was barely bigger than normal hotel room and had no couch. They charge $58 to have a pet which is outrageous!! We will never stay in a Candlewood Suites again.

We have stayed in this hotel for last 3 years . It is close to Olathe hospital. We have always had outstanding customer service and room clean . Not new but very well kept .
