Will stay again. Plenty of room loved the space for luggage and stuff. Just wish our room was further from the elevator as we heard it every time it was used

Location was good and facilities were good

When I checked in I informed the desk clerk that I had already paid for my reservation and it was a king size bed room. She then told me that they were all sold out and I had to take a lesser room for the same cost of the hotel room. In addition I was over charged for the hotel room, I was charged 170 dollars by the hotel desk lady even though I had already paid using Booking.com. She was obstinate and said I was wrong. I relented and accepted the small bed room and the questionable sudden price increase and took my key. I found the key didn’t work and returned to the hotel front desk to inform the lady. She acted strangely throughout my interaction with her, I was suspicious. She suddenly turned and informed me that she had “upgraded “ me to a king room. I’m very disappointed in the overcharged room and way I was treated by this woman. I will not use Any Holiday Inn Express ever in the future. The room was cold and damp, and smelled odd. As a professional business traveler I am now going to avoid all Holiday Inn Hotels from now on. My experience was that bad.
