Candlewood Suites Cheyenne by IHG

This was a great hotel! The room was spacious, clean, and updated and the staff was friendly. They also allowed our dog for a $35 fee (which is much more reasonable than some other properties we have stayed at). It is very close to downtown which is really cute with some nice restaurants.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The front desk staff were very friendly. The mirror outside the bathroom and the window (badly smudged) were not cleaned. The housekeeper's cart one morning was VERY loud and squeaky. That same housekeeper had her music playing loudly and was singing to it. The bed was too high for short people to get into. An extra fork, spoon, and knife or two would have been nice.

My family was in town for a 3 night visit! This hotel was prefect. Clean beds were comfortable.

Comode would not stop running had to fix everytime comode was flushed...we were there 1 night so didnt report.

When I checked in, the manager boasted to me about IHG's partnership with coke. I am not into coke products but I decided to stay anyways. The room was cleanly and the physical mattress and bedding were comfortable. I had several poor experiences with management and the front desk here. For one, found a 12 inch strand of dark blonde hair on my pillow. It appeared there 2 days after check in and before housekeeping did their cleaning. Also, I noticed things moved around in room and that people were going through my stuff. The front desk just gave me a lot of excuses when I addressed this concern to them. I also let front desk staff know that there was a luggage cart blocking the emergency exit. The front desk argued with me asking if it was necessary to move it and asking why I just didn't bring it down myself. She was very rude and argumentative to me. Also, I had an open bottle of extra virgin olive oil open on the counter. Somehow it got contaminated as it tasted salty. I addressed my concern with the front desk and the front desk told me that it wasn't there problem because it wasn't their olive oil. I called the local police to investigate and file a report. The next day at 8 am, the manager called me to evacuate the building by noon. I agreed as I didn't want to stay there anymore. I had to take some stuff from my car into my room to sort things out as I was there on extended stay. By 9 am she called the local police to escort me out despite the fact that I was being cooperative. I talked to the manager about that it was the best for me to leave, but she just got irate and blamed me for accusing her staff for poisoning me and she expressed that her staff shouldn't have to go through that. And she asked why would she target me since I am not anymore special than anyone else. I am glad that I left. I will never return there.
