Very good breakfast buffet with large selection (I had its price included with the room). The English skills of some of the people at the front desk were quite limited (e.g. didn't know what a "stamp" meant.), though everybody was very friendly and tried their best. The location was good for me because I had business meetings nearby and taxis are quite cheap. But the walking distance from the East Tower to the Century City metro station (about 1 km) felt surprisingly long in hot humid weather, and a taxi to downtown Chengdu cost about 40 yuan (~5-6 euros) and took about 25 minutes.

Good Location - next to Branded Goods Shopping Mall Airport Bus Direct to Hotel ( cost less than Y20)

there are 2 towers, one is brand new, even highest level than you expect from an Holiday Inn, rich, with good restaurants and facilities ... 200 meters far away there is the old tower, same hotel but with a deep needy of renewval, just acceptable bathroom and dirty old moquette carpet

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The staff, from Management down were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The food catered to all tastes.We highly reccommend this Holiday Inn.

No, concerns with the Holiday Inn Century City. Excellent accommodations and staff. Friendly service and very beautiful rooms. For the price, I would recommend this hotel and visit again in the future.

Even now the hotels.com description still lists "Airport Transportation (complimentary)" under "Services/View more services," and that is one reason we booked this hotel. We also purposely booked at a rate with "Full Breakfast". And we pre-paid extra for a third person in the room. Upon arrival, we did have to pay for the airport shuttle, double what we had paid elsewhere, but for a much shorter trip. We were additionally charged an exorbitant price for an extra bed, and found we were only being given one breakfast. Too many additional charges and for these prices, we expected more from the concierge, who was not able to help us with theater tickets and reluctantly gave us a map.

Nice hotel...clean, comfortable, attractive. Perhaps not the best location for someone wanting to see and experience the "real" Cheng Du, as the hotel is located in a new city development still being built ....basically a huge outdoor mall with 2 hotels and many name-brand boutiques. It was fine for a lay-over night, however, and the staff is quite friendly and helpful.

There was a traffic control starting at 7:00 AM in the morning when I was leaving for the airport. Only outbound traffic was allowed. The hotel did not notify its guests about this. When I accidently found it out the night before and asked the front desk to arrange a cab for me at 6:30 AM, the front desk spent a long time trying to sell me its limo service (300 RMB) instead of simply getting the cab (50 RMB) for me. I needed to escalate a simple request like this all the way to the manager on duty to get my cab.

Hotel was for a quick between overnight between flights. They advertized free Airport transportation service. I even called the 800 number to confirm and they did. At the airport no service available. Called hotel and they said they could send a car for 300 RMB and it would tale 45-60 minutes. The cab costs 45 RMB. At the hotel the manager on duty said they never provided this service. Called the 800 number and they said thery should. Needless to say I paid for a cab Both ways. Could have stayed at a better hotel if I had know. Restaurants at the east Century were horrible. The upscale Chinese had customers but no one to see at PM for a table. We walded to the West tower where the lobby restaurant was satisfactory. Hotel room was typical Holiday Inn with a minor upside for decor. Look elswhere if looking for a good hotel.
