The icemaker in the refrigerator did not work, and the phone in the room did not even have a plug, so it was useless and made me feel unsafe. I believe I should get some type of refund. The room was way over priced.

The only thing I can say we liked about this property was the comfy beds, other than that this hotel sucked. To start they had some new guy working the front who didn't know what the heck he was doing. We prepaid for our room, and he kept telling my husband that he needed to pay. After about 30 minutes I am assuming it was his manager yelling at him over the phone that she had already had the keys ready for the guest who had already prepaid. Later in the evening my husband and I decided to take our daughter to the pool and an employee was literally outside in the front of the hotel smoking weed with some guy. This should've been our que to leave but we stayed. Now its bedtime and we are all sleeping until we were woken up at 4 am to people running up and down the hall laughing so loud. This went on for about 2 hours no lie. Finally, we fell back asleep to be woken up AGAIN by someone playing loud music. This really set my husband off and he went downstairs to complain but of course no one was in sight. Then he saw who it was playing the loud music and believe it or not it was a worker cleaning. My husband came back to room and said LET'S GO! I am honestly disappointed because the hotel was very clean, and the beds were some of the most comfortable beds we have slept in. But we will NOT be back especially for the price we paid to endure all that we did for one night.

In this hotel is our go-to when we want to leave the hustle and bustle of Dallas and go down to Galveston and just relax. This hotel has everything you could wish for it's such a low price. The first thing that hit you when you walk in is how it smells so clean and then the staff is above board so kind so helpful you get to your room and you have a kitchen with the stove the microwave utensils plates cups a coffee maker a full size refrigerator. This hotel is in an area called The strand it is not on the active Beach it's just a couple of miles from the beach which makes it wonderful you can go to enjoy your time in the Sun and walk along the Beach area go to bars go to restaurants and then when you're tired and you want to just come and rest this is the place to be so quiet so serene we have gone back many many times it would never stay anywhere else. The general manager seems to be there 24/7 he always greets you with a smile and is so kind many times he has brought us towels and washcloths while his staff was working with customers his name is Ali. I would suggest that people that are over 55 choose this hotel as well because you're going to be on the historical side of the island and you can enjoy that and then come back to just lounge in your room the most comfortable bed and such great bedding so clean. and comfy !! big wonderful bathrooms they have handicap bathrooms that are very very helpful that me and my husband use. There's free coffee with all the good stuff you can squirt into your coffee and flavor it up also a little store that anytime of the day or night you can take your hotel key and get in and purchase little goodies or things that you might want to eat in your room or heat up since there are microwaves and stoves in your room along with pots and pans everything you could imagine to have a really great time on a budget it is always affordable. This last recent trip we met a lot of workers with the gas company and guys have to go out into the fields and come back dirty and they were so tired We would see them coming in as we were walking out and they would say this is the only hotel that they all stay in because they work so hard and know they're going to get a good hot shower and peaceful rest along with great TV very good channels. One visit and this will be your "go to" hotel in Galveston we are so blessed that we found this hotel a couple of years ago we just got back two weeks ago and we're about to go again this next month just to get out of Dallas and have a relaxing nice time and feel like family with the staff....Linda

The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable but the outside property was in despair...I hadn't been mowed in over a month and the grass and weeds were as high as your knees and mosquitoes every where
