Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites Altus by IHG

We have stayed there many times. It’s always comfortable and clean.

This was a quick stop after a late night arrival. I chose an IHG hotel because I wanted a safe bet without a lot of research. The gal at check in said she was new so will give her grace but check in was quite slow. I noticed some maintenance issues right away but at 1:00 am just wanted sleep. The next morning I really noticed the cracked tile, broken grout and uneven bathroom tiles, disgusting black stuff around tub and shower, and the fact that the vacuum never gets too close to the wall. We had two rooms and both had similar issues. Breakfast was standard fare but eggs were overdone around edges as were the biscuits. Apple juice was water and we noticed several others take a sip and toss it. This was by far the worst hotel we stayed at with the highest price. A 2.5 is a more accurate rating but isn’t available. A friendly call with (Mercedes?) earlier in the evening regarding late arrival and a comfortable bed led me to the 3 stars. Definitely not the worst hotel but I won’t be back unless renovated.

There were holes in the bathroom wall, severe water damage that was attempted to be covered by paint and mold around the bathtub and a toilet. The room itself had not been dusted, and there was debris left over from the last guest

Iverall the place was very clean. All the employees we interacted with where very friendly. Would definitely stay here again

Our room was far better and more space than we expected.

Overall a decent hotel, except for when I got woken up to horribly loud rattling sounds coming from the bathroom at 1am which apparently is the wind. If you don’t need to get any sleep this is a good hotel for that. The staff member was rude when I asked him what was up too. A hotel in Oklahoma that, if the wind blows, you will get no sleep. That makes sense.

The hotel was great. The Expedia experience was terrible!
