The Village Resort

Amazing detached tropical villa with separate bedroom, dressing room and lounge. Very clean. Wonderful pool area and always found some sunbeds. Ate in hotel restaurant one night and was excellent. Easy walk to Karon beach (very windy) and to restaurants etc (Two Chefs on Soi Saneha was fantastic). Easy to get a taxi from gatekeeper nearby. Only irritant when we discovered that during 'happy hour - 2 for 1' the price of a small can of Chang beer had been increased by 50% from 120 to 180Bht which was not advertised in the room or around the pool. Very sneaky! We complained and only paid the lower price.

Beautiful resort with wonderful friendly staff. Stayed for three nights but wished we’d stayed longer. Bungalows are beautiful with tea, coffee and water supplied daily. Restaurant food and breakfast is amazing, food options are brilliant. Pool areas are fantastic and always plenty of beds without people reserving with towels. Short walk into town where there are plenty of bars and restaurants but there is everything you need at hotel and don’t really need to go there.Happy hour drinks 2-6 which is great and you can have them at the swim up bar. Everything is spotless and staff are always seen around the resort cleaning. Overall fantastic hotel which we’d 100% recommend.

Just returned from this exceptional resort and cannot rate it highly enough. We stayed in a poolside villa which was fantastic. A special shout out to all the staff, especially the bar staff, who went above and beyond with their quality of service. We thoroughly recommend this resort.

Oasis of peace & tranquility: Pros: Lovely helpful kind staff Good food Nice pool and big jacuzzi Accommodation big and quiet at night Plenty of sun beds as not huge amount of people Cons: Hard bed and pillows Towels old and discoloured No hair conditioner provided No hand wash dispensers provided only bar of soap which was never changed for our weeks stay More variety needed in breads and cakes for breakfast Need health and safety issued addressed i.e Only slide chain and latch on entrance/exit to accommodation door so didn’t feel safe while in property Glass on door and walls in restaurant area need to be highlighted with ‘glass safety stickers’ for safety Very busy road outside which has to be crossed to get to the beach, signal man not always on duty. We would definitely come back to stay if all of the above issues were addressed.

This hotel is very nice for adults who seek for a relaxing, quiet hotel. It is situated quite close to there Karon Beach (some 10 min walk) and just 15 min walk to Karon center. The busy traffic road has to be crossed when going to the beach and it is a bit risky due to the heavy traffic. Breakfast was good and the breakfast restaurant had a very peaceful, relaxed atmosphere. We never saw more than 15 people there. Also sunbeds were always available. The pool was OK (maybe 20 meters long) and there is a big jacuzzi with a view over the pool. The bungalows a very spacious having 2 rooms, a big bathroom and even a storage room for clothes and luggage. Everything worked well in this hotel.

The hotel looked very dated. It looks like it was built in a rush and did not feel like a 4 star hotel at all. The room didn’t feel safe or secure with the only way to lock up being a padlock on a sliding door. The pool was dirty, garden was pretty unkempt and the whole grounds were a bit grubby and broken down. I think the biggest issue for us and which ultimately made us leave after only one night was the extreme lack of privacy. Both the side and front windows opened to public areas. The shared pool out the front of the villas wasn’t the issue, it was the fact that just on the other side of the villa pool was the main walkway to all of the villas, then past that, the main pool and pool bar, then past that the restaurant and lobby. So from the bed through the villa, you could see everyone and they could see you. The rooms didn’t have net curtains, and the only way to not be seen walking around in your underwear was to close all of the blackout curtains. That said, all the staff were very nice and helpful, though probably still not to a 4 star level. We had originally booked through booking.com for 5 nights and after we had let reception know we weren’t happy neither the hotel or booking.com would offer us any compensation

The Village Resort and Spa was excellent. We opted for the pool access rooms. The rooms were more like mini villas. Very spacious with separate large walk in closet and bathroom. The front lounge space was really nice in the evening especially, and the pool access was fun and felt like you had your own personal swimming area. The staff were so kind and attentive. Great drinks at happy hour, and the food was pretty good too. The spa was small but there are a large variety of services offered and is very convenient. Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice and quiet area. No mosquitoes or bugs which given how the resort looks was a surprise for me. There are very nice restaurants, money exchange and 7-11 in walkable distance. The beach is in walking distance too. One thing that did bug me was that they give you 2 water bottle and toilet papers and if you run out then they don’t give you extra. This is something I noticed in other resort in Thailand as well but it was pretty strange to me. No worries though there was a 7 eleven nearby so we got all our needs from there.

Love this place have stayed before it is quiet and AO & private staff are always amazing wifi could be improved but that’s about it. Will definitely be back
