Great property however not value for money. Basic sports facility and mini bar items were way too high. A pack of Rd 10 chips was charged as Rd. 185 in the mini bar. We also found the room tariff higher than usual, if I compare it with similar other 5 star properties like Radisson Boy, etc. The service of the staff was great and the staff members were extremely welcoming.

The hotel needs a refresh of paint and new bathrooms (it looks shabby in some places), but the pool is spectacular and the staff are really nice. Restaurant is great too...

The hotel is slightly outside Mahabalipuram but within walking distance of main attractions, which is actually a good point. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. One has to assess this hotel keeping in mind it does not compete with international standards we know in Occident. For the local standards it is close to a palace. However rooms might need a bit of refresh, especially bathroom. The food served in the hotel is extortionately expensive compare to local prices but it remains affordable, it is very good, fresh and above all, safe for our fragile European stomachs. The hotel has an amazing swimming pool, clean but also in need of a bit of refurbishment. There is a nice bar close to the shore, the beach is not great out there but that's the same all along that cost. We spend a week as a family with small children and we have nothing to complain about, again, the staff kindness is the best part of this place.

Lets start with what was good, the staff and their earnestness and the property from the outside. The private beach area, pool area and villas look very good. But inside the rooms are a complete shambles. The bathroom was poor and the quality of curtains, beddings and linen were poor. It made for a very uncomfortable stay. We shortened it to 1 night as we could not imagine another night here. To call the room a deluxe room is a lie. It was plain poor and even the corridor to the room gave a feeling of a run down hostel. As I mentioned, the staff was honest and tried hard but clearly they have been let down by the support system and management training.

Great location and friendly staff. Has private beach and walkable to Seashore temple. Cottages are excellent. Food can be better.

Proximity to beach, friendly staff, decent breakfast spread. Property itself is decently maintained.
