Destino Five Ibiza - 5-Star Grand Luxe Resort

Probably the best hotel on the island, definitely coming back next year for even longer time.

Beautiful hotel with friendly people

Great communal space and fantastic entertainment. The rooms are tired and basic for a 5-star hotel. Staff are reasonably good but not all speak good English.

Overall we really enjoyed this hotel and would recommend it for people looking for a short break. The pros: Overall very helpful staff, particularly reception - easy check in and check out process. Great people watching around the pool Excellent communal areas, plenty of seating, sunloungers, funky background music, clean, neat grounds etc Excellent breakfast buffet with plenty of choice (as it should be for 30 Euros!) We had a room at the back and found it peaceful. They provide towels, nice toiletries, toothbrushes etc. Big night is Thursday night at Rumors. The cons: Unfortunately we felt the rooms were not up to much at all (probably more like a 2 star rating). Very small room, disappointing shower room, no tea/coffee making facilities. It was very basic and the bathroom needed work (taps covered in limescale etc). There was a mirrored ceiling in our twin room - felt that money could have been better spent elsewhere! We were charged11 Euros for a 750ml bottle of still water in the restaurant. I accept they need to charge for these things but I think that is disgusting. I have never spent over €5 for a bottle of water in a 5 star hotel. The second night we got back from dinner at about 1.30am and ordered 4 glasses of Champagne from the bar and went and sat on a sofa (about 5 metres from the bar) and the barman actually shouted over that he wouldn't bring them over to us! At €20 a glass it would have been lovely for him to show a bit of customer service!

Hotel was beautiful. Room was quite small and beds not great. Very average room considering the hotel. Breakfast was delicious.

Destino is effortlessly chilled and relaxed. Rooms are simple and to encourage exploration of the communal areas and island

Not what I would expect from a top resort. Room did not have a trash can. Shower leaking into the bathroom. Terrible art. Service is some of the worst I have seen (takes 20 minutes for a drink, screw things up, etc.). Food quality is ok, but not great.

Lovely hotel. The staff were great.

The hotel has a villa type feel to it! Very modern yet warm and inviting. The staff is amazing and very easy to talk to and ask questions! I would highly recommend staying here.
