The hotel itself was very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was the problem. When I asked to be in a room that did not have pets in it. They told me that every room had pets in it at one time or another.

The room was the problem. When I asked to be in a room that did not have pets in it. They told me that every room had pets in it at one time or another. When I read PET FRIENDLY I did not realize that it meant there was no section in the hotel reserved for guests that were allergic to pet dander. They assured me that all rooms had a deep clean after a pet was in it. Since my room was non-refundable, I had no choice but to stay. I coughed all night. I was congested the following day. I woke up as did my husband with swollen eyes. So much for the DEEP clean being effective. The price I paid for staying there was far more than the amount on my credit card. How do you enjoy a day at the shore when you feel like that. When I spoke to the desk clerk, she said she was sorry but since I booked through Booking.com I should address my complaints to them. The disclosure should read 100% of the rooms available to pets. Just as it states in the room 100% smoke free for people who have allergies to smoke. I would not have booked the room if I had realized. There was availability at another hotel. It was cheaper. But I booked the Hilton name trusting the quality of the brand. I will not make that mistake again.
