Winter Park Chateau

I loved the unique nature of the property. Much more personal experience than staying in some chain hotel. Very quiet, convenient, nice staff, comfortable beds and pillows, and nice lounge area/ hottub access.

I thought the money for value could have been better. We booked late and had their smallest room and I think that for what it was it was overpriced. I also had a BIG problem with the pricing inconsistencies. First 325 on booking.com then 372 on the website and then when it comes time to pay at checkout 390. They seemed a little bit money hungry that way making me feel like I might not get the 100 dollar security deposit I had to put down back.

There was a lot to love about the Winter Park Chateau. Firstly the owners and manager were very helpful and when the first room we were given did not fit our requirements we were offered a larger room. The second room had an ample sized bathroom and a freestanding tub which my husband loved. I liked the aesthetic of our room and having spoken to the owner he is looking to change the bed linens. I also thought the addition of bedside lighting would have been great and the curtains could also do with changing. The den was one of our favourite spots in the evening. It was large, warm and very comfortable. The provision of a washing machine and dryer we could use was also greatly appreciated. The only thing that was off putting when we arrived was the construction work on either side of the building. Although it didn’t look great the noise was limited and did not disturb our stay. The outside and the first entrance could do with some work and tidy up but once inside the inner hall is very nice.

I loved the large room we were offered when the room we had booked proved to be too small. It had a lovely bathroom and my husband loved the freestanding tub. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. We also spent most evenings in the den which was huge, warm and very comfortable.

The outside and outside entrance hall are not appealing and need some work but once you are in the inner hall it is far more appealing. There are building works on both side of the building which didn’t look great but whilst we were there the noise was not an issue for us. The owners are new to the property and I think will be changing the linens which weren’t great. The curtains could also do with changing and the provision of bedside lighting would have been brilliant.

Cozy, clean spot close to the ski shuttle. Friendly staff/owners with cool hang-out/bar area. Only comment is that parking is a little tight and icy (but I guess everything was pretty icy when we were there).

This place is super cute and quaint. Our kids loved the loft space and moved right in. Be prepared to keep quiet, the walls are pretty thin and we could hear our neighbors' morning conversations every day (at 6am!). We would've loved to use the hot tub but it was pretty dirty and not usable which was a bummer. The hotel overall could use a bit of upkeep but overall it was a good stay.

Great atmosphere. Very friendly
