La Chicca Palace Hotel

Dated hotel and dated rooms. Internet in room did not work Terrible breakfast served in hotel foyer. There was no hot water on the last morning of our stay.

The concierge gave us exceptional service, was very welcoming, suggested restaurants and made us feel very welcome. The bedroom and bathroom were quite nice and it was located very close to the ferry terminal. Would recommend!

Modern, clean, gorgeous welcoming hotel. Owner greets you and is friendly, genuine and helpful. The owner has put thought into every aspect of her beautiful hotel: from the art adorning the walls to the bathrooms it is evident that every detail has been immaculately planned. La Chicca Palace is a luxury hotel priced the same as other bare bones accommodations. We ended up in Milazzo unexpectedly as the trains were not working and found this hotel. I’m glad we did and will return. The city of Milazzo is an unexpectedly great place! Beaches, a castle, a pizza festival, excellent bakeries and more. After a disappointing few days in (the gross city of) Palermo, serendipity has lead us to this great place.

This hotel is very close to the town centre. The room was large and very clean. The shower was very good. The wi-fi was weak. The bed was very large. There were lots of issues trying to get the air conditioning to go below 26 degrees.

Great hotel very near to the port where the ferry drops off/picks up. Lovely spacious room (junior suite) with jetted bathtub and four-poster bed. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast. This was our second time staying here and we will definitely return in the future.

This establishment is fantastic! The customer service goes above and beyond. Clara and Rebecca made our stay so very pleasant! Thank you ladies! I highly recommend La Chicca. And also, the place is spotless!

In no way is this a four star hotel. Three at the very best. The lady owner was pleasant and clearly struggling with the Covid restrictions. However the breakfast arrangements were pathetic. I stayed in many hotels in Italy during the summer of 2020 when everybody was learning to cope with the Covid restrictions. But no where else served a cold breakfast of a croissant, banana and a yoghurt in a paper bag left at the bedroom door. My main gripe however is receiving a call from reception accusing me of standing naked on my balcony when at the time I was actually resting dressed on my bed!!! She half apologised and said she did not believe the neighbours who had complained. IF YOU DID NOT BELIEVE THEM, WHY RING ME WITH SUCH A LUDICROUS ACCUSATION??? I checked the location from where the alleged complaint came from and realised it was not possible to see onto the balcony. To this day I still do not understand what occurred. The only reasonable explanation is that a holiday weekend was looming and she was angling for me to leave so she could let the room at a higher rate. She got her own way as I decided to checkout immediately. MABE AFTER ALL THIS TIME A HONEST EXPLANATION CAN BE HAD., please ??

La Chicca Palace is a smart, modern hotel close to the centre of town and the ferries, yet in a relatively quiet location. It offered excellent value for money. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, while maintaining strict Covid protocols on distancing. Breakfast had to be ordered in advance so that it could be delivered to our room, which it was, exactly at the time requested. Milazzo is more than just a ferry port - the old town on the hill to the north includes a castle and cathedral, and there is an interesting free museum displaying archaeological finds from the local area stretching back through the Roman and Greek eras to even earlier settlement. So an overnight in Milazzo is no hardship!
