Majestic Hotel (formerly Octagon Mansion Hotel)

The pace is close to the mall which is nice. However, the room is so small, the door knob on the bathroom is damage and no free internet connection even in the lobby. How come??

The hotel is very noisy, the AC system was making a strange noise most of the time, and we can't turn it off if we want to survive with 39 outside. Windows are not noise-proof and we hear everything going on in the streets, many night activities are going on till the morning, horns, cars, traffic, garbage, road works, etc... The standard rooms are not convenient, they are narrow and long, not good for 2 persons with luggage. No free WIFI or breakfast for the price, and it is not a cheap one among others around.

The room is narrow, 2 beds are lined up on one side same side of room, mattress is hard. Room is clean but noisy from traffic outside and doors opening and closing inside and conversations in the hallway.

over all my stay was great and even if there were some down sides like the cost of some things there, this hotel was in great location to many things. at the malls or any where you go the workers will greet you and make you feel welcomed and it was nice. do beware of walking as the driveres thiere dont know how to drive and will hit you if you dont pat attention.

Hotel is in good location in Melate area near Robinsons. They nickel and dime you on things. I broke a bathroom glass and they were very aggressive about charging me over $2 for it! Overall hotel is good, not great.

As above the location is great, it's fun and in a safe area.you don't need to walk far to find good bars and restaurants, although it is near a lot of hostess bars KTVs but its not full on in your face and you can easily walk by without getting hassled. Hotel was clean and the room was large, although a little bit dark.Clean and nice and pretty cheap. Staff were fine, not amazingly friendly but pleasant. I have to visit Manila a lot and I'll be coming back here next time.

Besides the Robbinson Mall and the LRT. But too Noisy and Old-fashioned decor.

The Hostel1632 should not be on your list of recommended hotel. I was so miserable that eventhough i booked 2weeks on the 2nd week i checked out for i cant stand the tightness of the space, a window that all you can see are airconditioner cramp in tight spaces, we have to walk sideways to make room for each other for the room itself and worst is the bathroom. It is dimly lighted and not recommended for people who wears prescription glasses and claustrophobics. One day stay is enough but for your vacation etc......please do yourself a favor go to another hotel. The price is not even worth for this kind of hotel. They charge everything including parking for hotel guest. I can only compliment their workers staff and housekeeping as they sure do a good job. But please dont send yourself to disappointment. I wasted money for my last week (5day) stay in this hotel but I just cant stand it anymore. Everything is overpriced and the management cares less. If they are following japanese style rooms....i rather go to japan and stay at a japanese hotel but to cram a guest in such tight space room is torture and misery !! The security person named "george" even tried to hit on my fiancee and ask personal questions to her. This is totally outrageous.

The rooms are so small, the bed is so old. They need to widen the sizes of their bathrooms. In my room where I stayed was a nightmare!!!! Imagine at night you could hear everything the live band the disco the screaming. You can hear everything, they don't have any sound proof where customers can't hear any noise... They need to change the beddings everyday, especially the towels they're so old!!!! Over all I can't recommend this hotel at all... I did not enjoy my stay in that Hostel hotel sorry...
