Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Brooksville

I have stayed at this hotel many times throughout 2024 and 2025. My only comment is about the breakfast. It has been the same for at least the last two years, and it feels boring and too simple. I would recommend improving the variety and overall quality.

Small and quaint. Almost like a 'bed n breakfast'.

Only one light in bedroom, neither lamp worked next to bed. Clock not set correctly.

Location was great right off the highway, the pool temperature was great.

As soon as we walked into our room, there was a strong smell of mildew that stayed all four days we were there. The bathroom had chunks of paint missing, the faucet in the tub was rusty and broken - I thought I was going to break it turning the water on. Worse of all - there were multiple large circles of mold on the ceiling above one of the beds. It was disgusting to see. I paid $500 to stay there four nights, and the only thing the front desk person offered when I told him about the mold, and the disgusting smell, was to switch rooms. No discount was offered off my stay.

What I liked was the staff. I got the names of the 2 people who ran the front desk from the time I arrived to the time I left in the morning. It was Makayla and Raquel. They were wonderful to me, very friendly, professional and accommodating..

The first room that they gave me had a very strong musty smell. However, they rectified it by giving me a new room, which was fine. Other than that, I had no complaints.

Staff was great. Well lit parking lot. Convenient lobby area with plenty of snacks and coffee 24 hours a day. Felt safe on the property.

Bed was a little firm but definitely doable. Stated online they offered cribs however when we requested one they stated they did not have any.
