Clean and location

Thought was overpriced to what we normally pay at other holiday inns

Clean, lots of car parking and across the road from the concert venue. (See photo). Stewards did not have our car reg so didn’t want to let us through, but showed them the booking reservation and then they let us through. Breakfast was good. Lots of choice and the staff were helpful.

They couldn’t find my booking when I went to check in. It was due to it being on a different system (through Booking.com). I was panicking as thought I had booked the wrong night! Eventually found it. There was no conditioner in bathroom but they provided it when asked. Also key card had not been activated when we first went up to room. Not so keen of them taking £100 deposit when they already had my card details from paying for the room.

Liked the location.The Hotel was very clean.The staff were all lovely.

Standard of cleanliness in the rooms

Holiday Inn express is pretty modern and has ample free parking and good access from the motorway. Check-in was friendly and efficient and I was in my room within ten minutes of arriving at reception. The hotel takes a £50 pre authorised payment at check in. The room was a good size and had everything I needed for my stay. The Wi-Fi was stable, fast and free of charge.

We got no sleep because people were in and out rooms near us and the doors slam loud shut need soft closing. The extractor fan didn’t work so a shower filled the room with mist straight away. I’ve stopped here loads of times and will continue to do so but I just had to say something about this stay. Sorry
