Days Inn by Wyndham Blytheville

Needed a place to stay on drive down to NOLA that would accept a dog. Figured this place at the halfway point looked sufficient. Pulled in late afternoon and looked at the place in dismay. Rundown, next to a trailer park lot, landscaping is nonexistent/sad. Looks like the type of place you meet your drug dealer. We made do because at that point there was no other option. Checked carefully for bedbugs and found some brown spots on mattress cover but no signs of active infestation... but room looks like it had gotten basically surface cleaning and was also really rundown. Coffee machine with no pot or coffee. No glasses or cups for use in the bathroom. Just got some sleep and left. Went elsewhere on the way home. Clearly Wyndham has put no money at all into maintaining this place and maybe they get enough from people pulling in on the day of that they figure they don't need to.

I was asked to pay more when I arrived. It was not clean. The room was small and in need of repair. In the closet there was no hanging pole or hangers. There were push pins in the wall to hang anything. The painting job was horribly done. There is no smoke alarm, only a plastic holder for one. Outlets with no cover - very dangerous. I would never stay there again.

Manager up front wanted to charge me $20 for an invoice. He was rude and not helpful at all. I reserved through booking.com and luckily they were able to help me because the manager from the property would not help at all. In addition, breakfast wasn't the best and juice machines were broken.
