"Sweet and Sour"

The room was big, the bed was soft and cozy. I enjoyed having a coffee maker in the room this morning. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The breakfast staff lady was super friendly. The bacon, pancakes, and cinnamon rolls were excellent and it was nice to have a variety of drinks. The pancake maker was really cool.

Upon check in, we were told that the pool and hot tub were both closed and that there was a deposit to pay in case we wanted any food from the small room of snacks and drinks.. I didn't mind paying the deposit however I prefer to be told ahead of time. The hotel had my contact info and could have let me know about the hot tub. I was really looking forward to soaking in it. The room wasn't as clean as I expected. The inside of the bathroom door was disgusting. The chair had a tear in it. We brought games to play but didn't have a flat surface to share along with 2 chairs to be able to play. We got so bored that we actually left and went shopping. The eggs and sausage links were not good at all. The first glass of cranberry juice was very watered down, the second attempt was too strong to drink. The biscuits and gravy were not that great.

"We felt like family because the staff are exceptionally friendly."

We had to bail on some camping nights due to heavy thunderstorms in the area so we liked the proximity to the nature sights we wanted to see. The best part was Tia Helen who ran the breakfast area. We are family now :)

Because of the location on the edge of town, it is less happening.

Location and front desk staff

Lack of cleanliness, starting with the elevators. Our bathroom needed to be recaulked, black mold in the corners of shower. Carpet in our room needs to be replaced, smelled like animal defecation. That smell is impossible to remove. We couldn’t switch rooms because the hotel was full. They also got our reservation wrong but the front desk person was very helpful.
