Riptide Oceanfront Hotel

Friendly hotel and bar employees. Location by the beach is perfect.

Bathroom, kitchen suite, beds, everything is extremely old. Bathroom door not closing. Cleanliness is inadequate. This hotel is in need of a major overhaul.

rooms in need of updating. Ceiling fans need cleaning, bedding was miserably thin and old, no outlets to charge phones. Should update end tables to include charge outlets.

Right next to the boardwalk. Had its own bar in front of beach. Local music playing.

Maintenance on door lock. Outside bathroom was all wet.

Just had coffee from coffee bar, it was great. Did not have any food but drinks at Tiki bar, our favorite! Annabelle in office was very efficient! Provided requests immediately! Brook is best bartender in town !

Room needs additional light, perhaps a lamp or two. (one on night stand did not work). The room needs another mirror. When one is using bathroom putting on makeup, there isn’t another mirror for second person to use .

We stayed mid-May, apparently there was some seaweed on the beach. It didn't bother me. The water and sand conditions were amazing. I enjoyed being right on the boardwalk, probably the only hotel with a bar and food service. I was worried about the noise level at night and there was none. We stayed Friday-Sunday. All staff were very helpful, friendly, and professional. I was very appreciative of the beach chairs others have left behind and that the staff leaves them in rooms so future guests can also use. I happen to have liked the hotel but my family felt it was old. There was always parking either behind the hotel or the overflow lot.

Unfortunately, there were some bugs (not bed bugs) that were under the pillow on one of the two beds. They were creepy crawlers with wings and not only under the pillows but in the room. The windows throughout need to be replaced. The hotel in itself feels old. The furniture, the bedding, and personally I would have appreciated to have had two extra quilts in the room. There was only one. Not sure if the beach towels were also left behind by prior guests but they also appear old and worn, but hello, we used them and were very appreciative of having them. I did not pack beach towels or beach chairs so those came in handy. On our 2nd day we notice the bathroom sink began to back up, so the water flow slowed down.
