The Lakeland Kendal Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

We have had an amazing stay at the Lakeland Hotel this week. Staff were kind and helpful, food was top tier, the rooms were kept tidy and they kindly hold your bags even if your stay has ended. All of our needs were met! Would highly recommend to travellers as its close to the Train station, Bus station and centre of Kendal is a 2 minute walk. Thankyou for an amazing few days we will be back!

That end of town felt slighty run down, but you don't have to go far to find some civilisation (!)

It is close to Train Station which is handy to non car travellers. Its a beautiful building that needs tender loving care. The breakfast is basic . The room is comfortable though nothing special.

There is an outdated sofa in our room. It has marks of stains. It feels uncomfortable to use. We never sat on it. I suggest just take the sofa out and replace with a chair that can easily be cleaned off.

front staff were very short in making you feel comfortable, like you were bothering them when asked a question. You were asked to pay 12 pounds even if you just wanted coffee and a piece of toast, Drains in the bathroom were not cleaned so the water would not go down.
