Lovely location. Lovely looking place…

The upselling on a room in order to allow us access to the bar with a view etc… Then the hotel probably needs to adjust its rating to three stars (unless you pay us a bit more). That or I start wearing a badge stating “Not to be milked!”

We loved the friendliness and attentiveness of staff as well as the location and the club level drinks and snacks with the view. All very clean and well maintained, great shower pressure, blow dryer and steamer all nice touches. Comfortable beds.

Although nicely renovated and clean rooms were quite compact, not spacious, although bed was large and comfy

The way this hotel is described on its website is pretty deceptive if you aren't aware that Melia is a chain that operates in a particular way. They have something called Level which is a very expensive upgrade from the prices advertised for a room. The lounge area, the balconies, the upstairs bar -- which are very attractive -- are only available if you pay the substantial Level upgrade. From the photos and descriptions on the website this seemed like a very good deal but it turned out to be very basic, clean and well located but no real amenities beyond that. I probably would have looked further if I had understood that the amenities shown are not included in the basic room price.

Less deceptive more accurate website would be appreciated.
