Hotel Federico II

Przepięknie położony hotel rodzinny, ze wspaniałymi właścicielami, bardzo pomocni i życzliwi. Pokoje duże, gustownie urządzone. Przepiękny taras ze wspaniałym widokiem na miasto. Spędziliśmy cudowny wieczór rodzinny (10 osób) Zdjęcia nie oddają uroku tego miejsca! Miejsce w 100% do polecenia

Breakfast was OK - typical B & B really.

Finding the place in the first instance was a nightmare - we saw no signage anywhere in the town even when we at the end of the alley leading to the property. We had to keep asking the few locals we saw. This was not a hotel experience - just a B & B. There was a person to check us in but thereafter the only person in the hotel seemed to be a man who just loafed on a sofa in reception all the time. There was no bar and no restaurant open despite their website and despite the recommendation from Rough Guides. At least there were staff at breakfast.

Das Bergdorf ist Mega schön. Die Aussicht ist der Hammer und bei gutem Wetter auch der Etna zu sehen. Das Frühstück war gut mit genügend Auswahl und netten Damen, die einem frischen Kaffee gemacht haben. Der Besitzer hat uns bei der Ankunft mit dem parken geholfen und eine günstige Tour zum Etna vermittelt, das war echt super. Im Ort gibt es genügend Restaurants, um abends lecker essen zu gehen.

Eher ein Hinweis: Es sind sehr schmale und kurvige Straßen dort hinauf, Parkplätze finden sich meist an der Straße. Es sollte einem jedoch bewusst sein, dass man diese Strecke jedes Mal hoch und runter fahren muss, Taormina ist knapp 40 Minuten entfernt und der Verkehr nicht ohne. Für uns war das im Oktober völlig ok und machbar, aber in der Hauptsaison sicherlich anstrengend.

Camera pulita e spaziosa, bagno dotato di ogni confort e anch'esso pulito. Personale cortese. Bella struttura, sala colazioni su più livelli con diversi gradini per raggiungerla. Colazione con prodotti dolci e salati, tutto molto buono

We loved our stay at this hotel in Castiglione di Sicilia! It offers a great location, clean and spacious rooms, and a wonderfully comfortable bed. The staff are so kind and helpful, and the breakfast was fabulous. Parking is available nearby (free, public square). While spaces can sometimes be limited, the staff provided excellent information, and parking was overall fine.
