Breakfast had a good range of food for locals or western styles. Tap card on elevator and it automatically selected your floor

Room air cond didn't cool. Building had switched to heat but it was hot in our room and no way to keep it cool. Had to run fan at Max speed. 2nd night marginally better as we had fan on all day to cool room a bit

Tout était super bien avec grande chambre confortable et excellent petit déjeuner varié. Bonne situation à 15mn à pied de la place Tianfu et du parc du peuple.

Fantastic bed with great pillows and spacious room. Location is perfect for central / down town Chengdu and the breakfast was absolutely perfect for an affordable hotel. We paid just under 400 RMB a night which is great value

While I have only rated the Holiday Inn Express in Chengdu, China as a four -star hotel, I am confident that it is the best alternative available for a North American or European, if not for any traveler. It certainly is if the comparison is limited to hotel with comparable price points. The hotel appears to be very recently built. It is very modern and utilizes the most advanced technologies including the beloved floor cleaning robots that deliver room service. I must admit, even they are cute. Furnishings and fixtures are modern and. Beds are comfortable. Walk-in-showers are available. Staff is efficient, pleasant, and eager to be of assistance. Breakfast is, of course, included in the price. Although it is understandably not the standard breakfast served throughout the USA, it is one that is more than acceptable to a Midwesterner’s taste buds. Further, unlike some other US branded hotels in China we have recently visited, I am confident of the safety of the food and beverages at this establishment. The location has proven ideal for us. It is in the old part of the city where a variety of restaurants abound and where the walking is safe and interesting. Taxi or car service is so inexpensive, a trip anywhere in the city can be no issue. We recommend the Holiday Inn Express in Chengdu China MOST HIGHLY!
