Holiday Inn Express- Waterloo/Cedar Falls by IHG

The beds and pillows were comfortable . Staff was very nice. The room had black mold in the bathroom both on the walls and in the shower. There were beer tabs and trash behind the chair in the room.

The location of the room and it being on the second floor. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel was quiet for the most part and I didn't have any issues getting rest for the day.

There was nothing about the room that I didn't like. I stayed for two days and it met the needs of my stay. I would absolutely stay there again in the future.

Jamie at the front desk was great. Very friendly and informative. He helped us with our reservation and various booking information.

The rooms need updating. Carpet stains, bathroom shower tile cracked and shower fixtures are coming out of the wall.

This is the worst IGH facility out of the four we stayed in on a recent trip. It is way overdue for remodeling and update; everything about it says old, from a single squeaky wheeled luggage cart to a bathroom door that would not fully close. Breakfast did not even include cooked oatmeal (the only IGH facility on our trip that didn't have it)-the mandarin oranges were flavorless. There was barely room to drive one vehicle in front of the main door for check-in. Walking to the front door was hazardous for disabled guests due to the uneven and sloped approach. Staff was friendly and accomodating, but the facility was disappointing at best. It's hard for me to see how it meets the requirements to be a Holiday Inn Express facility!
