Braemar Lodge And Spa

The room was incredibly spacious and beautifully decorated with a fabulous view across to the mountains. The bed was so comfortable and the spa in the bathroom was amazing. So excited to have a cosy fireplace in our room. We had dinner in the restaurant - the food and drinks were fabulous but the restaurant was too empty - would be better off seating the few dinner guests in the library area - during low season- for a more intimate experience. We loved our breakfast, so much to choose from and very healthy options. Shame the filtered coffee was cold and didn't taste too good. All the staff we dealt with were very friendly and efficient. We had an enjoyable stay.

This hotel is not bad but probably doesn't make a 5 stae ating.it is quite dated and needs a lot of maintenance and upgrading.

Spectacular rooms to match the veiw. Very spacious and comfortable and also a huge bathroom. It is a little out of Hanmer Springs, so be prepared to relax. It is quiet and there is a lounge and bar you can hang out at, if you want. The lift was not working, so we had to schlep our suitcases down a few flights of stairs, and the gym was also closed off while we were there. The restaurant is o.k, but after asking specific questions about one dish, it arrived and we found it was not as described and we would not have ordered it. A little better knowledge for the wait staff would be appreciated.

Only thing I did not like was room service you could only order at certain times would be good if the hours were extended but apart from that it was amazing
