It has nice grounds and the staff are friendly

WiFi doesn’t work very often and also the breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. Whilst staff are nice they don’t look after the very limited breakfast buffet very well.

We had 2 days of our college 35th year reunion at Lakesong Kumarkom. The place was fabulous and they created a life time memory for us. Start to finish things went well as planned. Kudos to all staff both in front and back of the house. Thank you.

Disappointing stay here from the moment we arrived. ~When we first arrived the staff on reception tried to charge us for a more expensive room that we had cancelled weeks before. When we told them this, the woman on reception continued to argue with us that they had none of the rooms left that we had booked, so we would have to pay for the more expensive room (despite us cancelling it). I completely get that this could have been due to an error with booking.com not notifying the hotel about the cancellation, but the way it was handled by the staff member on reception was awful - she made us feel so uncomfortable and at no point apologised. After this interaction, we felt really awkward whenever we walked past the reception desk. ~The staff on reception were not particularly friendly or welcoming, it felt like such a big contrast to every other hotel we stayed in during our trip to India. ~The room itself was dark and dingy. ~The hotel advertises free bike rental for guests, but you can only use these in the hotel grounds. We wanted to cycle through the nearby villages/backwaters/paddy fields. We asked at reception if they knew of any bike hire places and they just flat out said "no" - they didn't offer to even try and look for us. In the end we had to find a bike hire place ourselves which was in Alleppey. Our taxi driver told us that all of the other hotels in Kumarakom let guests take bikes outside of the hotel, and he was also really shocked that this hotel wouldn't let us (he rang local friends who also seemed very surprised by this). ~No hairdryers in the room which seems strange for a 4* hotel. I had to ask 2 different members of staff if we could have a hairdryer. ~The service in the restaurant was really slow - for one of the meals we waited over an hour and had to cancel it in the end as we needed to get a taxi to the airport.

spacious property but looks very old ! the basic rooms are very sad ! we were upgraded to a higher category, so it was all good. Food is a little challenge! taste not upto the mark as a premium hotel ! breakfast was just okay, nothing great about it ! Dinner buffet was also just ok!! not that great!! no refreshments / fruits kept in room !!

A lovely start to 2 weeks in Kerela. We found the room spacious and clean. The grounds were beautifully kept and the pool perfect. It was wonderfully quiet. Without exception the staff were kind, welcoming and helpful. The food in the restaurant was excellent with a good variety of dishes from the varied Indian regions. Special thanks to the restaurant staff Robin, Ranjit and Shine.

Beautiful location. Clean and comfortable rooms. Good food. Excellent hospitality and service, from front office to housekeeping staff, security staff and catering staff. Well kept lawns and garden. Good housekeeping. Very good pool.
