"Trashed pool area and room showing age"

This hotel has really gone downhill since we last stayed here. Stayed with my family on a staycation during President’s Day weekend. The pool area was disgusting — greeted by dirty towels strewn everywhere, old beverage cans, an overflowing trash can and trash, yes trash, floating in the pool. The women’s pool bathroom was the same — faucet had no water, no paper towels, and trash was overflowing onto the floor. Really dampened my enjoyment of the area and had me questioning whether pool itself was safe and clean. Our room was fine but showing wear and tear — a huge rip in the duvet cover and mold in the shower grout. Not what I have come to expect from the Westin brand.

A Valentine's Day overnight and our experience was wonderful, an evening dinner at the COV next to the Westin Hotel in Edina, MN, and enjoyed the Exclusive Executive Lounge breakfast. Our stay wast fantastic!!!

The valet was absolutely wonderful and so accommodating/attentive in such a cold season for this southerner!! Only 3 stars because I travel often with my 9 year old as a single mom and hotel/resort gift shops are so very helpful when it’s snack time. I was bummed I was directed to go across the street to target to get any type of toiletries or snacks in negative degree weather.
