Econo Lodge Bellefonte I-99

I felt in the morning the room was very cold and I could not anyway to make it warmer. I had to dress quickly and put my coat on

My stay at the Bellefonte Econo Lodge was the latest in several stays over the years. I was really upset to lesrn how expensive the exact same room has become. Last year and in years past, I'm sure i have not paid more than $80-85 per night. With taxes, it was nearly $140. And the advertised breakfast was not available. When i can stay at a nearby Ramada for nearly $40 a night less, with a full breakfast and pool, I'll rethink my next visit.

Room was small. So made it tight to walk around Queen bed. Outside appearance was not pleasing to the human eye. But room did have all the amenities of a better class of hotel/motel.

Very clean inside and out. Rooms were small but we were just staying overnite. No breakfast as advertised. Probably cause of covid. Everyone needs to adjust their websites to reflect this!

Stink like cigarettes.

Check in was uneventful. Room was small but clean. Air consisted of a window unit that was very noisy. Additionally the towel bar was barely hanging on the wall in the bathroom and as soon as I attempted to place a towel on it it fell out of the wall. Overall, we'd stay again if nothing better is available but we'll definitely shop around.

Quiet

The bed was soft and the sheets clean. The room had been recently painted and vinyl floors installed which made the room less warm. And the floor installation was not done properly. The bathroom was small but was clean and functioned well. I did not get a warm feeling from the room but it served the purpose and the staff was nice. This is was a "budget conscious" choice and I'd do it again, considering the expensive cost of rooms in this area.

The bathroom was too clean and part of floor was sticky. Location not that great either.

Great stay!! We were very surprised by this Econolodge. We dont normally stay at Econolodges. However we needed to stay near Penn State campus for event. This is retro style where you park outside your room. However the rooms inside have been completely renovated!! Beds were super comfy and fridge kept drinks cold. Room was super clean even window sills!! Only issue we had was working heat/ac to keep room temperature comfy. We put heat on cause it was cold but woke up too warm. Other than that we will definitely stay here again for Penn State events. Campus only 10-15 minutes away and lots restaurants nearby with Sheetz and Dunkin Donuts on same road.
