Hotel Eetu Begur, Affiliated by Meliá

We thoroughly enjoyed our six night stay in a corner suite at the Eetu. We had a furnished balcony with a view of the surrounding hills and forest with a slight view of the sea at the center of the horizon. Very pleasant. The room was spacious, in fact better than the in the photos, with a separate living room and bedroom. . The parking garage is adjacent to the lobby therefore very easy access to facilities and elevator. The team members were all helpful, friendly,and courteous. Location is out of town however very convenient if you have a car. Begur is an ideal base for exploring the Costa Brava. We were able to visit Figueres, Girona and several coastal towns. There are still many places we couldn’t see yet and hope to make a return visit in the near future. We would definitely choose to stay at the Eetu again. Thank you.

The hotel Eetu is a quiet little gem of a hotel , 3 minute walk to a pebble beach and not too far from the gorgeous Aiguablava beach. We didn’t hire a car but hired bikes from the Aiguablava hotel just down the hill from the Eetu. We found the cycling to be safe and got to see all the beautiful coves along the coast as well as the village of Pals in the hills which is worth a visit. It’s very off the beaten track but the hotel organised a taxi to Begur and Parafrugell for us. The room we had was 414, we had a very small balcony with a nice view. Rooms need updating but I believe the hotel is undergoing renovations soon. We stayed half board, breakfast was adequate, possible could be a little better but the evening meal was delicious..not buffet style, ordered from a menu with a choice of some tapas also. We had the pool area to ourselves on most occasions. The highlight for us was the staff, in particular George (Jordi) who was so friendly and courteous. He found out our names and couldn’t have been better at service, hospitality and friendliness . What a fantastic maitre d. He was very informative about the area and couldn’t do enough to make our stay pleasant. Thanks to Jordi!!

Most enjoyable week spent at Hotel Eetu. We were particularly impressed with several staff members, namely Judith and Mabel (management/reception) and Joreen and Alina in the restaurant. Each of these lovely ladies were extremely helpful, efficient and professional. Nothing was too much trouble and each always had a beaming smile!

L’emplacement et la gentillesse du personnel.

La ubicación es excelente, en pleno corazón de la Costa Brava. Ambiente relajado, tranquilidad y silencio, un tesoro cada vez más escaso. Independencia garantizada. El trato dispensado en el Hotel fue impecable en todo momento. Las instalaciones, aunque pendientes según nos comentaron de una reforma integral, cumplen con las expectativas, tanto al interior como al exterior. La piscina, de agua salada, es magnífica en todos los aspectos. Es de destacar, a su vez, su localización estratégica para visitar enclaves de interés como Ullastret, Oppidum Ibérico impresionante, situado a 20 minutos. Las Ruinas de Ampurias, visita obligada, 40 minutos, Peratallada o Pals, villas de origen medieval perfectamente conservadas a menos de 20 minutos o Las Islas Medas, 40 minutos. El personal de dirección, recepción, mantenimiento y cocina-comedor es cercano, amable y respetuoso, pero sin excesos, manteniendo una forma de actuar profesional y coherente en todo momento. Creo que tienen claro que lo más importante es el cliente, algo que, lamentablemente, a veces no sucede. Por razones imprevistas tuvimos que concluir nuestra estancia en el Hotel EETU Begur un día antes y, comunicada esa circunstancia en la recepción, todo fueron facilidades para tramitar con Booking la posible devolución de la cantidad correspondiente al día perdido. Ingreso que se produjo a los pocos días, circunstancia que desde aquí queremos agradecer expresamente tanto a la dirección del hotel como a la empresa. En resumen, ubicación inmejorable y trato, restauración, instalaciones y personal sobresalientes. Una experiencia que resultó plenamente satisfactoria y que, desde estas líneas, recomendamos, con garantías y sin asomo de duda, a quienes tengan la intención de visitar este rincón de la Costa Brava bendecido por la Naturaleza y la Historia.

Es evidente que el paso del tiempo ha dejado su huella en un edificio que necesita alguna mejora, pero, según nos comentaron, a partir de mediados de septiembre se abordara una reforma integral del mismo. Por otra parte, conviene subrayar una realidad que ha de ser tenida en consideración. Fornells es una zona muy privatizada desde hace décadas y es una zona con carencia de servicios básicos ( cafeterías, restaurantes, superficies comerciales...) que puede suponer un contratiempo en algunas ocasiones. Es por ello que la opción de régimen de media pensión ( Cena ) es la más recomendable según nuestra opinión y a la que nos acogimos, afortunadamente.

La comida y la piscina,aunque cerraban muy pronto y el soa abria los chorros tarde.

Algunas zonas del hotel estaban viejas(suelo terrazo) y pocas zonas comunes.Las camas pequeñas.7
