Brundage Bungalows

The Bungalow we stayed in needed to be updated. The floor was sloped which has the flooring split in 2 places, I almost tripped sinking in the floor holes. Bathroom needed updated as well. Chipped stand-up sink, I had nowhere to place my toothpaste and personal items.

Great location and easy check-in. The cabin was small but comfortable and had everything I needed.

Quiet, easy check in, beds and pillows super comfortable. Staff on the phone was amazing. He helped me with a goof up I did with pleasure and made valuable suggestions. Enjoyed our stay and the lake across the street. Just beautiful area.

We booked the Brundage Bungalows for our “Minimoon”. We weren’t sure what to expect but went into it with an open mind. The Bungalows were located perfectly in McCall where we had easy access to anything we wants to do or see! You can turn out of the drive way either direction and still be a 5 minute drive away from everything. The space was perfect for just us two, we utilized the fridge for our drinks and even the porch at night. We will most definitely stay here again!

Bath room sink very poor drainage. Front wooden steps unsafe; damp and slippery, no hand rails - definitely a major safety issue. Only one tiny reading lamp, and it was falling apart. Limited hooks for hanging towels (other than behind the towel rack); shower unsafe - no hand grab bar. Flower greeting pot at right of stairs full of dead plants

For the cost of these dated bungalows, the value is definitely not there. Not only were the grounds unsightly outside of Bungalow #6 that we stayed in (maintenance supplies, wood scraps directly off the porch, randomly placed cinder blocks, etc.) the inside of the bungalow was also filthy. At first glance, it appeared clean, but once we started walking around, using the kitchen and bathroom, and climbing into bed, we noticed it was far from clean. The floors didn't appear swept and our socks immediately turned black when walking barefoot; the kitchen counters and bedroom nightstands were sticky to the touch; the dining table had crumbs embedded in the cracks and what appeared to be dried gravy that we had to scrape off; the kitchen sink had leftover food in it; cups had a thick film on them and were temporarily stained; the only pan in the kitchen had a thick black layer of burnt food in it along with what appeared to be a dried leaf, making it completely unusable; one of the bedrooms had stained sheets; and the shower was covered in black mold. Most of the curtains were difficult to open and the front door curtain was hanging off, broken, when we arrived. The only light in the main living area had a burned out bulb and the fan was covered in dust. The closet in the primary bedroom was unusable due to the amount of items being stored in it. And, the AC/Heat did not work. Fortunately, it was cool enough that we could open the windows to cool the inside down, but even then, some of the windows wouldn't open, so we had to go outside to pry them open. Most of the outlets were inoperable, and one was even dangling off the wall and would spark when plugging something into it. We called ahead of our stay to confirm if certain items would be available, and they weren't, which was an inconvenience. They ask you to clean before you leave, and I'm pretty sure we left it in better shape than when we arrived. They specifically ask you to wipe down the counters, but don't even provide cleaning materials. Pros: Comfortable beds and pillows. Convenient location. **Before posting this review, we called management during our stay with all of these complaints, giving them the chance to make things right -- they did not. Instead, they hardly acknowledged what were saying and made excuses for most of the problems.**
