Ho'oilo House

Amazing outdoor shower, great breakfast, amazing architecture and furniture.

The house, the location, the hosts, everything is just amazing. The right mix of laid-back and classy. The place is super tranquil and just perfect to unwind while also ring close to beautiful historic Lahaina and the rest of must-see places on Maui. I highly recommend this place to everyone who wants to get away from it all without missing any comforts. Hope to be back, soon!

It was perfect, beautiful, quite, and Dan was the perfect host! Dan greeted us each morning with an awesome breakfast and we so enjoyed our conversations, he was very informative on any questions we had. Make sure to give our thanks to Dan for making our stay a beautiful memory!!!

So this was a great part of our Hawaii vacation. Set up in the hillside with a great view of sunsets this was a pleasant place to stay. Dan is a gracious host and very familiar with the area. He made some great restaurant recommendations and was always available. The property is relaxing and welcoming. The bed was super comfortable and the rooms unique so you feel like you are someone special. Highly recommend.

I don’t even know where to begin. My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights as part of our Hawaii honeymoon. I personally have never stayed in such a beautiful house in my life. The house, and it’s location is more than I could have ever hoped for. It’s a stones throw from the beach and maybe a 5 min drive from Front Street (the “down town” area where all the shops, restaurants, and other great sights are). If it’s your first time in Maui I STRONGLY recommend renting a car. It will make your life 100 times easier. Dan (the owner) is one of the nicest most laid back guys you could ever meet, and he’s always willing to give you some ideas on places to go (and he’s good for some rock music conversation as well 🤘). Even his house keeping assistant ( I hate that I forgot her name) could not have been more pleasant or helpful. If we needed some beach chairs or a cooler they were sitting next to our car moments later. There were other couples staying at the house who we had the pleasure of meeting during breakfast, but other than during breakfast we really didn’t see anyone else. In closing, this place is an absolute gem and I would recommend it to ANYONE! My wife and I have already decided to go back one day and we only left the house Yesterday. Frankly we would probably skip everything else and just go back to the Ho’oilo House in Lahaina. Dan I hope you read this and know that your new friends from NY (Joe & Kasey) will certainly be seeing you again! Mahalo Mahalo Mahalo!!!

More like a home than Hotel, from the moment we arrived we felt welcome. This beautiful, quiet Bed and Breakfast is a wonderful balance of close to everything but away from it all. Warm but unobtrusive hospitality. Gorgeous sunset views. A perfect escape to paradise

Ho'oilo House is amazing. It was the easily the best place my wife and I have ever stayed. Not only was the B&B beautiful, there were great views of the ocean and mountains. The service was excellent; Dan Martin, the owner was a wonderful host. There were even things like beach mats and umbrellas for the guests to use. If you are staying in the Lahaina area of Maui, Ho'oilo House is where you should stay. We have already recommended it to several friends.

My husband and I decided to elope & chose Ho'oilo House for our trip. We couldn't be happier with our decision. We stayed in Honu and I can't imagine a better room. Dan was a wonderful host! Kind, helpful, and available when you need any assistance. A wonderful experience all around. Can't wait to go back!

We had a great weeks stay at Ho'oilo House, in the Wailele room which is exactly as pictured. The outdoor shower is wonderful. We prefer this type of boutique accommodation over a big hotel or an all inclusive. Breakfast each morning consisted of fruit, yogurts, cereal, toast, and freshly baked muffins.The common areas are comfortable and welcoming, and the grounds very nice with good views, and has ample parking. It's close to Lahaina, and also easily accessible to other points of interest on the island. We'd definitely stay at Ho'oilo House again.
