Coral Rocks Hotel & Restaurant

De laatste vier nachten van onze rondreis door Tanzania en Zanzibar hebben we hier afgesloten. In het begin waren we wat huiverig omdat we slechte recensies lazen, deze bleken echter te gaan over de kwaliteit van het hotel voordat er een nieuwe eigenaar in het hotel zat. Wij werden hartelijk ontvangen het spraken ook meteen met de nieuwe eigenaar. Zij heette ons warm welkom en we kregen een rondleiding door het complex. Coral Rock is een kleinschalig complex, waardoor je je er meteen thuis voelt. Het is een prachtig hotel, met een super uitzicht op zee. Heerlijk gegeten in het restaurant, waar heerlijk seafood en Italiaans op de kaart staat.

L’hotel est bien situé et le personnel est charmant. En revanche, notre air conditionné était cassée et surtout la nourriture est lamentable ! Nous avons mal mangé le midi et le petit déjeuner est une honte ! L’hotel ne vaut vraiment pas le prix demandé !

The Coral Rock is a wonderful hotel with a great infinity pool, chairs, and restaurant overlooking the gorgeous Jambiani coast. The hotel was recently changed to new management, and they have done a great job with the place (unfortunately i just dont know what it was like before the new management). The rooms were clean and well done, air conditioning works great, there is wifi at the restaurant, etc. The new (part italian management) also meant that the food was wayy better than my expectations. Overall, we loved our stay there and would absolutely go back. My one complaint would be about billing and change. The bills often come out different than what you ordered and you can pretty much guarantee that either your bill will be slightly off, they wont have the right amount of change, or that the card reader "isnt working today but will be back tomorrow". I have no idea where the money goes, but even when you see them handle the right amount of change from another customer, they wont have change when you need it. Other comments include: they didn't actually have any of the wind surfing equipment, petal board, or kayaks that other travelers had commented about (and that we were looking forward to)

Das Hotel liegt sehr gut und schön. In der Nähe gibt es Restaurants und kleine Läden. Das Wasser ist klar, Ebbe und Flut wunderschön zu beobachten. Leider war die Matraze nicht bequem, das Bad zwar gross aber nicht gut geputzt. Essen: leider war das Essen oft unterschiedlich zubereitet und schmeckte auch anders, obwohl dieselbe Mahlzeit bestellt wurde. Auswahl auf der Menükarte war ausreichend. Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit.

Le Coral Rock Hotel est un hôtel sympa et correct. La chambre dispose du stricte minimum: un ventilateur, une clim qui manque un peu d'efficacité mais pas de sèche cheveux. La literie est moyen et la chambre est relativement propre. L’hôtel dispose d'une piscine à débordement avec une super vue sur l'océan indien et son joli dégradé de bleu. Le restaurant de l’hôtel n'est pas top et le petit dej vraiment bof... L’hôtel est correct mais ne vaut pas les 100€/ nuits.

Hotel was right on the beach and had a really nice view of the beach. Shame that beach was covered in seaweed so it is a bit of a mission to get in and swim. Swimming pool came in handy then. I strongly believe they should be clearing the beach in front of their hotel as guests are coming because of the nice, inviting pics they have on their website. When, reality is completely different. Some of the staff was very polite and helpful. Room had full working air-con and fan which was more then we expected. But then again, room/bathroom is not like on the pics. Food was also overpriced. All in all, we expected to get what we saw on the pics and we got disappointed; would not go back.

мы с семьей провели там только 1 ночь, после которой в срочном порядке из отеля выехали. Отель отказался даже частично возвращать оплату. Но я предпочла потерять деньги, чем еще 7 дней провести там. 1. отель (а это набор домиков и ресторан) находится на краю утеса. от порога домика до обрыва (где-то 2,5-3 м высотой) - около метра. Ограждение либо нет, либо в некоторых местах это 2 натянутые веревки. Если вы путешествуете с детьми , есть постоянный риск, что шаг или прыжок - и они прямо свалятся с обрыва. 2. Территория - это узкие залитые грубым бетоном дорожки между домиками и рестораном, а также небольшой пятачок с бассейном перед рестораном. младшего ребенка я постоянно носила на руках, так как отпустить на землю было негде: травы нет, а бетон очень сильно нагревается в дневное время. 3. Coral Rock Hotel находится в центре поселка Джамбиани. это означает, что там шумно - местные подростки играют в футбол, жители постарше выясняют отношения. а спустившись по узкой лестнице на пляж, вы попадаете под атаку наглых и навязчивых beach boys. 4. Coral Rock Hotel это не полноценный отель , тут нет системы заботы о постояльцах и сервиса. это набор домиков, которые сдаются, и ресторан, который обслуживает всех желающих и устраивает вечеринки. в результате, маленький пятачок перед рестораном забит посетителями ресторана и тебе, как постояльцу , просто некуда деться. территории нет, а на пляже - шумная толпа.

Abbiamo passato una settimana all'insegna del relax. Cibo in hotel ottimo ma servizio molto lento come. Ella maggior parte dei ristoranti di Zanzibar
