Hôtel le Néron

It was a special deal on Expedia's website, but due to the location it was no deal. Room was ok, but hallways were shabby, and dim and dark. Location of the place is horrible, smack dab in the middle of an industrial trucking area and RIGHT next to the freeway.

We stayed here as a base to explore the Vercors which is about 10 minutes away from the hotel. It is clean and functional and has no frills. The receptionist could have been a robot for all the warmth we got when we arrived. However, for what we paid, it served it's purpose.

We had to stay one nigth at this hotel since our car broke down and had to be repaired close to the hotel. We came late and had two average but nice and clean rooms with TV and free WIFI. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed and they don't serve anything to eat after 9 PM. But the restaurant turned out to serve a nice breakfast buffet and we also had a very nice lunch before we left. The surroundings are poor with the hotel placed in the middle of the industry-area, however it is close to the highway and therefor suitable for a short accomodation.

Uninspiring location next to the Autoroute on the edge of an industrial estate, but a very nice hotel indeed. All rooms were very clean, and with aircon and double glazing, so no noise worries whatsoever. A real bonus after a hot sweaty day on the bike was the pool. Lovely breakfast. All in all - don't let looks deceive you, not the prettiest location but a very honest and good hotel.
