Holiday Inn & Suites Wausau-Rothschild by IHG

It was clean and the bar/restaurant was nice.

We had to call multiple times for certain things. Our coffee maker didn’t work so after 45 minutes they brought another one (after saying we could just come down to the lobby to get coffee) and that one was moldy on the inside. We paid extra to get the breakfast and when we went down they said we needed reservations but we had to be at a soccer game in an hour. We had not been told that we needed reservations when we checked in. I figured it was just a buffet. We also called down to get some milk for our son and after 40 minutes it still had not come so I called again and then it finally came up.

Everything was perfect

The bed was very comfy, exercise equipment good, would have liked tv to look at while exercising. Room was very clean. Didn't hear other noises from hotel itself but could hear road noises, their heating/ cooling unit did have a constant fan option which was great that did help

We had few incidents. While the property was good, in good condition, clean and area around the property was good. Even the staff was very pleasant. Few things did not go well. 1. For myself and one of my colleagues, the cleaners were already in our rooms ahead of 11:00 AM Check out time and threw out my food. I came to my room around 10:55 AM because we were at a conference next door to take out the food. The cleaners had already been there and the bathroom was being cleaned and the bedroom new sheets were already up. Why would anyone enter the room before 11:00 AM which is the checkout time? This should never happen. 2. My colleague got to his room closer to 10:40 and they had locked him out. His keys wont work. He had to ask the cleaning staff on the floor to get him back in his room. Again, why would you do that. 3. My other colleague was locked out from the room and took significant time to get back in after a person was called to remove the door lock as the battery had died. Close to an hour he was locked out.

Breakfast was good, We used the $15 coupon provider at check in for the attached restaurant. We were not told that if we checked out, to validate the Coupon we had to be checked back in. All customers should be told this.

Attached to the cedar Creek Expo center. Attended an event there and could walk inside instead of driving.

Clean and quiet.

That there wasn’t breakfast and front desk was awol!!

Stayed for a swim meet. Everything was great!

I liked the bar/restaurant right on site. Only bad experience we had were the loud neighbors/kids that started slamming doors at 545am!
