Songjiang New Century Grand Hotel Shanghai

I had read some reviews after I made the booking and was a little worried about what I was going to be confronted with. Let me assure any reader, the negative reviews are so far from reality. Hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff were wonderful and helpful and overcame the language barrier. My room was better than expected and very comfortable. The breakfast is an absolute must. Best I have had at any hotel.

Wifi should have better speed

객실과 식당이 무척 마음에 들었습니다. 특히 식당의 아침식사 메뉴와 식당의 이테리어가 매우 흡족했습니다. 단, 주차가 매우 불편했습니다. 호텔 입구에 부작위로 주차된 차량이 많아 차량이 들고 나는데 너무 불편했습니다.

a nice basic good hotel. Pool a little crowded. That's my only complaint. Great Mall beside it. Breakfast was good too. Large selection of food.

The interiors are old and greatly in need of renovations. The air-conditioning doesn't work and I'll pity those that are staying during summer. The fridge doesn't work either! However, it's close to the shops in a convenient location. Value for money? NO!

Had stayed in hotel before and found if good but this time there was a smell of smoke in the room despite asking for non-smoking and there was a constant banging noise adjacent to the room. I highlighted these items at checkout but got no response from staff.

After 4 nights of asking for a solution to the hear, we finally checked out a day early. It was oppressively hot, impossible to sleep. Room service was appalling. Staff tried to be helpful but had nothing to work with.

This hotel is horrible beyond explanation. I have stayed there many times, and only reason for staying there is location (to where I have to attend business, and the fact that it is located in a fairly good mall with good selection of restaurants, Chinese and Western). The rooms smell, the bathrooms are full of mildew, the carpets are not only stained, you will have to look for the carpet in between the stains, the general condition of walls, wallpaper, electric installations etc is horrible. If you need to be in this part of Songjiang then it can be a choice, but otherwise there are great international chains with much better offerings at same or lower price.

호텔시설을 제대로 활용하지 못할정도로 사람이 많았고 단체관광 손님과 일반 투숙객이 함께 공통된 공간을 사용하기 때문에 많이 불편했다.숙박만 하기에는 괜찮은 선택이다.

Perfect location doing busines, good comfort, clean and good breakfast. Would have been a 5 star if it was not for the very poor internet connection. It is impossible to work before after midnight because of very poor speed.
