La buena variedad de comida, tanto en el Buffet como en los Restaurantes... Y las buenas atenciones de los empleados.

El Acondicionador de Aire no enfriaba a la temperatura que yo quería, tenía un límite que en el día no enfriaba bien...

Ana Patricia was our go to fantastic staff member for everything. She went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The hotel mgr Alexander was also a great help. From the food server Chisel to the pool guy Carlos our days there went smoothly.

"Spring Break in The DR"

10.0

The location Faranda One was perfect. It was quiet, the staff were professional and it was easy getting around. Pablo knew all of the great places to eat, party and build sand castles. I hope to come every year. I felt like I had my own apartment equipped with a cleaning staff that kept everything clean and well equipped with water, towels and coffee. The upstairs restaurant served everything from breakfast to a late snack to enjoy by the pool. My favorite was the Hummus plate and the hearty bread. My morning routine started with the gym or breakfast then a relaxing swim. The vibe at the pool was always lit with House Music or the Deejay playing all the popular genres of music.

"Lose the Timeshare Pitches"

2.0

Pros - people complain about the food, but I’m not sure why because it’s actually very good for a resort. I was very impressed at the variety that they were able to offer guests in the different restaurants. - Elvis is the best! He’s so incredibly friendly, one of the nicest people that works here. The staff are very sweet including Felix at the pool - many go out of their way to make you feel at home - The resort grounds are beautiful and very well maintained, the gardeners are excellent craftsman and you can see them working really hard on making sure that everything looks beautiful - The people that work here are all so nice and warm except for the man at the beach bar. Not sure what crawled up his butt but even with my widest smile I couldn’t get to him. He clearly hates his job and probably needs to move along. I even got a sneer when I went to refill my water, WTF lol. - My room was nice, vaulted ceilings, warm and quiet. If you enjoy peace it is very quiet close to the lobby. Rooms are dated but mine was always clean. Minibar was not restocked 3/7 days though Cons - As soon as I got in they were trying to sell me a timeshare. Seriously? At a resort? For anyone, do not go to the ‘presentation’ in exchange for freebies (I was not naieve enough to get suckered in and lose a morning of vacation) hey if you wanna sit in the boardroom for the first day go for it. Financial Profitability: Timeshare sales provide upfront, substantial cash flow for resorts, often using high-pressure tactics to lock guests into contracts for thousands of dollars. Customer Loyalty and Predictability: The goal is to bind you to their brand for years, ensuring you return to their property and pay yearly maintenance fees, regardless of whether you stay there. - they let the buskers come right up through the beach rows to harass you to buy things, I lost count of how many times they tried when i just wanted to read and relax. Same thing happened at the pool. Every time I wanted to relax they were trying to see me tours, massage, timeshare. I don’t pay thousands of dollars for this experience - ridiculous! - If you can GET a pool chair you are lucky. Very few umbrellas. If you want an umbrella, you have to get up at 6 AM and come down to the pool. - I was asked “where is my husband” three times. I asked the one guy why he was asking me that and he said because it’s a couples resort. This is someone who works here. Because of this, I do not recommend this place for solo travelers. Especially women. They don’t respect women who come here by themselves. - The Spa services are waaaaay overpriced for a resort. And they ask if you want a massage 5x a day. Maybe management should take a hint that no one is biting and post more reasonable prices. 180 USD for a resort massage!?! Come on, you can’t be serious.

"Enjoy your vacation!!"

8.0

Just returned April 2 from PCP. This is definitely a smaller adult’s only resort with primarily an older crowd. It is a very quiet resort with very little partying. We found it incredibly relaxing but you can definitely make your own fun. The beach was very nice although very windy. We were always at the beach early and obviously had no problem getting loungers and a palapa. We also noticed loungers and palapas still available between 9-10. The pool was much busier earlier primarily because there are not enough shade umbrellas. The rooms were fine with no serious issues that affected our trip. Like most resorts we have stayed at they could use an upgrade. We enjoyed the steak house and Italian Ala cartes at PCP. You do have access to the sister resort next door and we enjoyed the sports bar there as well as the Japanese, Tex mex and Chinese Ala cartes. You can walk there or use the trolley that will pick you up at the lobby. The buffet at PCP had a pasta and grilling station for hot cooked meals along with the regular buffet options. We always enjoyed breakfast there where you could get your eggs cooked to order. Bacon was available every other day. Make a point to sit on the left side of the buffet upon entering where you will be greeted by Ordalina. She is such a lovely young lady with a great personality and incredible smile. She will look after you. Enjoy your vacation!!!

"A True Gem!"

10.0

Just returned from a one week visit to the Punta Cana Princess. From start to finish, we felt welcomed and at home! The staff were amazing in particular Alexander who greeted us so warmly and, Jose La Jama whose presence at meals - be it the buffet or restaurants - ensured we had wonderful times. We chose to upgrade to the VIP Package and although pricy, we felt we got our monies worth. The sectioned off beach area with bali beds was comfortable and the chair side bar service fantastic. There was always Security present as well. We DID NOT play the “put your towel down early” game and never had an issue getting space. The beach is beautiful and you can walk a long distance. The sand is groomed every morning and there is no seaweed in sight. By the end of the day there is a bit in the water but hey, it’s the ocean - there’s gonna be some seaweed! No watershoes required. The swimming area is pure sand underfoot. Beach bartender blended up amazing drinks! Don't forget to bring an insulated mug. Our room in building 4, second floor, was large and well appointed. Loved the jacuzzi tub and separate toilet “room”. Vanity was large as was the walk-in shower. Never had an issue with getting hot water or with the toilet. AC was perfect. Fridge was stocked each day with beer, water and pop. Balcony was large. Our cleaner was AMAZING! Room was very clean and well kept. Bed comfy. We had an issue one day when our safe wouldn’t open. Quick call to reception and the security person was there in under 10 minutes to fix us up - great service!! Food was truly wonderful! If you can’t find something to eat then you are way too picky. There was bacon a few days for breakfast and the spread of food was great. Lots of nice baked goods, a station to have eggs cooked any way you like them, a smoothie bar, fresh fruit. No complaints at all. Lunches were equally good with taco bars, pasta making station, cooking station, two hot soups, pizza, salads … so many choices! We chose to eat at the a’la cartes for dinner - on the Princess side, you don’t need a reservation. The Steakhouse was deeeelish!! We had our lobster dinner there (part of the VIP package) and it was terrific. The Italian restaurant had many choices - we ate there twice. We also enjoyed the fondue restaurant. We weren’t sure how it would work but it was very well done, nice dips for the meats and the chocolate fondue was to die for. We also went to the sister resort twice - once to the Brazilian Steakhouse (FOGO) and once to the Chinese (these required reservations but were easy to book at the Princess). Both were tasty meals. Be sure to visit the sports bar when you are over there … it’s huge and such fun. Lots of tasty snacks and they ensured we had a TV tuned into the hockey game we wanted to watch. There is a shuttle to move folks between resorts. The pool area and grounds at the Princess are beautiful. So clean and well kept. Nice swim up bar. Lovely lighting at night and lots of places to sit and relax including the deck/bar at the Mare Norstrom which was where we spent many an evening after dinner enjoying the lovely ocean breeze. The lobby had a great vibe. Comfy places to sit, great bartenders. Music, dancing and singing in the evening (mostly taped). Would have been nice to hear some local musicians. The washroom was impeccably clean and well stocked. All in all, a terrific stay and we will absolutely be back. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!!

"Piece of paradise"

8.0

Just on our flight back to Toronto after spending a week at the PC Princess. Do not let the reviews sway your decision! This was my first time travelling to Punta Cana and I must say, this place was amazing for the value. It’s a very small adult only resort that has many great features including: - Easy walk to everything. Beautiful well manicured grounds. - Close to a beautiful beach with minimal to no seaweed. Get there early to get a spot. - Big pool with some late day activities. Get there early to get a spot. Hubby was out by 530am and often was not the first person. - All rooms face inward which was really nice. Most will have ocean views eg buildings 4&5. We were in room 4111 and had a lovely view. - Rooms are comfortable. King beds are nice. Bathrooms are a bit strange with no main door. Huge bathtub is a waste of space. Definitely needs an upgrade. Now, of course, everything was not perfect including: - The food at the PC Princess buffet is sub par and was unappetizing to look at for me. Others in my party thought it was ok. It was ok for breakfast but you must take advantage of the à la cartes at this location as well as the Caribe Club Princess next door. Our favourites from the top - Japanese, Steak House, Italian, Chinese, TexMex. There are shuttles to move you to the neighbouring resort, but it is walkable too. There is a nice sports bar at the neighbouring resort as well. We watched the Jays home opener there. It was happening and fun! - Towel shortages were an issue. No face cloths and minimal hand towels. One day we received NO towels so consider bringing a couple of your own. Pool towels are available but get it fast or they may run out. -Returned back to our room last night with no AC or working fan. It was not a fun night. The front desk told us there were issues but made no apologies. They have things to work out, for sure. I was not aware of the windy conditions in PC. It started the first day on the beach. By the afternoon, we were using our towels to keep warm. After a couple days of this, we moved to pool days, where the wind was still present but much more pleasant. We did not explore or need to VIP package. I heard from others, it was not worth it. The staff around the resort are very thoughtful and kind. Made some good friends who had all been to the resort multiple times. I will definitely return to this beautiful resort one day.

"Pleasantly surprised, will return! (if price is right!)"

8.0

Overall Pleasantly surprised. The food and drinks were better than average. The rooms were nice, a bit dated but clean and functional. We tried each of the restaurants and enjoyed them. We have travelled to many locations in the Caribbean and go with low expectations. THE GOOD: The Italian restaurant was very good. The shrimp at the Fond du restaurant was excellent. The buffet lunch was always good. Burgers are excellent, buns always fresh. Dinner buffet changed each night and we only ate there twice. Both times very happy with at least a few items. We upgrade to VIP so we could have top shelf drinks, and the selection was good. They made excellent drinks at all the bars. Great Mojitos and Margaritas. Karaoke night was a blast. The pool was perfect. Big enough for the small crowds, the beach was great. We walked it miles in both directions. I found if you were friendly the staff were friendly, we felt very welcomed and many went the extra mile. It was adult only, the vibe was good, they were pretty chill about most things. No strict loose your towel threats, or reservation rules. No tank tops in buffet at dinner was the only rule I almost broke!! The walk to next door sister resorts via the lobby path was worth it. The wildlife Peacocks and Flamingos were so tame and fun to see. THE NOT SO GOOD: Areas for improvement. The pizza was not good. The Rooms could use a privacy curtain for the bathroom. The pinacolatos were frozen mix out of slushy machine at all bars, so I did not bother. Early in the visit you had to get to the restaurants early to ensure a spot at any of the a la carte. It filled up quickly. However after a few days it was not an issue. The entertainment lacked most evenings. The locals selling stuff at the beach in your face was typical and can get to be too much after a few hours. The pool umbrella loungers go quick, get there early (8am ish) The white wine was ok. The red only seemed to be drinkable with food. On its own was bitter. We upgraded to the VIP for drinks, but the selection got less and less with each passing day and they did not replace the empty bottles, sad! They promised us a VIP package as part of the upgrade. We only found out later, you must sit thru a hour+ sales pitch on club membership. That was just wrong wrong wrong. BONUS: We loved access to the sister resorts next door. We tried the buffet it was excellent. We had drinks at a few of the beach bars and were happy and they did not use slushy mix it was fresh made. ( sadly our vip was not honored at those bars). We had planned to use the restaurants next door also, but they required reservations be made early. The Pizza next door was awesome, how it should be!!! (I like pizza) We really enjoyed the option to go to the Casino located at the sister resort. It was too far to walk but they have a regular 5 min shuttle starts at 9pm and ends at 4am. We went 3 times and won on second time and gave back on 3rd visit. Just be watchful of your drinks and your wallet, many locals in side and out seem to looking for opportunities. But don't let that deter you it was very safe fun. USD on tables, and local currency in machines, free drinks (not wine)
