Worst Hotel Experience Ever – Avoid at All Costs! Plaza Inn Hotel is a complete disaster! The AC in my room was practically useless—the remote was locked, so I couldn’t adjust the temperature or even turn it on/off. Every time, I had to call reception just to get basic comfort. The rooms are ridiculously small—more like a cheap partition than a standard hotel room. If you don’t believe me, just see for yourself! And guess what? You can’t even open the window for fresh air because the fire alarm system goes crazy, and they’ll call you to shut it. How is this even acceptable? There’s no table or chair in the room—just pure inconvenience. Save yourself the misery and book at **C……y Hotel** instead. Same budget, but MUCH better—spacious rooms and actual service. Plaza Inn? Never again! Call me and I’ll tell you exactly how terrible this place is! Paid parking is another nightmare here! Not only do you have to pay extra, but you’re also forced to hand over your car keys to security every time you park. That means no freedom to leave whenever you want—you have to wait for them to bring your car back. Unbelievable inconvenience and zero trust in guests. Avoid this place if you value your time and privacy!

The staff in the restaurant during breakfast is very nice and helpful. His name is Asanka. I want to thank him for being helpful. The lady receptionist is not helpful and accomodating. I don’t know her nationality but she looks like indian. I raised a concern to her about the extension of my stay in the hotel but she was not able to help and assist me.

Avoid at all cost. If you looking to book this hotel to save £100 or £200 just don’t! The staff here are so rude and have NO customer service whatsoever. When we arrived the check in assistant was very straight to the point. He did not inform us of anything when I was asking him about the breakfast etc as I am fasting and the procedure he basically told me to read the paper when I was asking him face to face because I have kids and was wandering of the timing and if they have a suhoor. I then proceeded to say well my reservation is for 3 people in a room as I’ll be fasting and I’ll eat at suhoor can I take my kids when they wake up in the breakfast timings. He proceeded to say I had to pay twice when I booked breakfast included. Made no sense to me since I wouldn’t eat twice in the breakfast window and neither would my kids be awake at suhoor. Secondly I parked right outside hotel infront of the car park. The watchman advised it’s a paid parking and to check in. He saw us and also guided us on. After check in we asked the check in assistant to bring our bags as we had an overnight flight we had 2big bags and 2 small bags and said bring everything in the car. They said okay. We waited for about 20 mins nothing, we called the desk and they are like we don’t know which one is your car. They should have called us before to say they didn’t know not wait till we call them. Then when my husband went down as we had two rooms booked he parked the car and came up the watchman who is also the bellman followed him up to say he need to pay 10 QAR. Are you serious? He couldn’t be bothered to bring our bags which is like now 30-40 mins plus. But could come up to say pay 10 QAR. We literally had no local money we just arrived from the airport and we would run away with something equivalent to £2. The watchman/doorman literally was having an argument saying we have to come down and pay. Then when our bags arrived we were hot and bothered and the AC wouldn’t work we called almost 2 times before someone came and he then activated the AC from outside he said it was off. Ridiculous if you ask me, all schemes to save money! Lastly when we finally got to sleep we woke up a hour and half before our fast was going to open to ensure good time to get ready and go where ever we needed too. The water was cold!!! We called the reception 3 times before someone came after 40 mins! And even then no one was apologetic. When o went downstairs and asked to speak to the manger receptionist was so rude, on her phone scrolling and basically rolling her eyes at us and then kept asking why we need the manger. When I asked about the manager she said he would be in later and wouldn’t tell me his name. Weird behaviour!!!!!! When I met the manager eventually he seemed apologetic but it was not sincere. It felts unsincere and when we later returned to the hotel two times after at AM time when there was literally no one there he just ignored us and pretended to not see us. No one is welcoming in this hotel and no one is nice, no one actually even smiles here. They all need training on customer service and how to actually behave with customers who pay real money to stay here. I am aware most of their clients are from discover Qatar but I booked via Agoda disgusting behaviour. The whole attitude of the hotel stinks. This is not a 4 star it should not even be considered a 1 star. It’s pathetic and all the staff and rude and have no manners. If I could stay here for free I wouldn’t even do that.They have completely ruined our stay with their horrible attitude. I will be booking another hotel.

The hotel's location was good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The hotel is quite old and desperately needs maintenance. Our room was in poor condition and looked nothing like the pictures used in marketing. The drapes were nearly impossible to open due to a broken mechanism. Even worse, the bathroom door damper broke in the middle of the night, causing plaster and debris from the wall and wooden frame to fall on my head – a terrible experience for someone going to the bathroom half-asleep at that hour. Additionally, the gym was tiny and had an unbearable odor. There is no available parking on-site; you must pay QR10 per night to access the hotel parking. However, you'll need to leave your car keys with the security staff. While the location is a major draw, I cannot recommend this hotel in its current state.

I was pretty disappointed with the hotel for many reasons. Reception staff could barely muster a smile, except one of the older male staff who was nice and friendly. I went to reception a few times for various reasons and was almost never greeted with a smile. Saying that, the house keeping staff were extremely friendly and smiley. The hotel itself is very outdated. I didn’t expect it to be and look as old as it is in terms of design and decor, this probably explains why they barely have any photos up on Expedia. It definitely needs a refurb. Especially the bathroom! Incredibly old. The bathroom had a nasty gutter smell and there was no hot water. I did inform reception of this but they said the water has to be run for 15 mins in order to get hot. This is really poor. Because who is going to stand there for 15 mins to wash their hands after going to the toilet? Also, what an incredible waste of water. The shower was the same. I used to run it for 15 mins before getting in but it never really got hot. It did get warm for about 30 seconds but then got cold again and then warm and then cold. Showers were horrible every day. I couldn’t wait to get back home to the UK for a proper hot shower. The room itself was nice and spacious. We had a Twin room with 2 beds. Could easily have fit another 2 beds in the room so there was plenty of walking space. We had a nice big window too looking out to the main street. I wouldn’t choose this hotel again but Qatar was lovely!

It was clean and spacious. Also walkable some of the historic sites.

GOOD HOTEL FOR A BUSINESS TRIP

I visited The Atrium restaurant with my wife and ordered Alfredo pasta, however we were served pasta Arabiata. Because we were starving, we had to settle with that. My wife sadly didn't eat because she is tomato intolerant due to ulcers. I saw the lady that took our order placing on comments that the chef should make Alfredo pasta.

Was good and the house keeping staff called Musa was super helpful and kind to us me and my fiancee for sure I recommend
