Nadi Bay Resort Hotel

In one word.... It's marvellous. From mr. Sharma. The staff and manager of this hotel are very helpful. Thanks. I luv to come back again.

The hotel is old but really nice. The staff were very friendly and the food superb. There is a really nice cafe near the pool for breakfast and lunch. The atmosphere is really good. We chose to stay here on our first and last day as it is close to the airport.

Okay stay with pool, bar and free breakfast. But not top. No good air condition at the room, and not so fresh, cold showers.

As a family group of 7 having just been evacuated from the Yasawa Islands back to the mainland due to TC Winston we had nowhere booked for the next 2 nights when we rocked up at Nadi Bay Resort. The great people here arranged very safe and secure accommodation for us to see out the cyclone. The cyclone made a mess but no serious structural damage was sustained here. The next few days without mains power was a minor inconvenience but the staff still managed to provide us with great meals and even cold drinks in their restaurant under trying circumstances. Within 3 - 4 days of the cyclone things were almost restored to normal in the Nadi area. We were well looked after while a lot of Fijian people had lost everything. How do we help them now? Continue to travel to Fiji,it's a great place with lovely friendly people who will go out of their way to look after you.

The truth is, I wanted to write a positive review: some place older and more budget minded... but.... Funny smell from the kitchen, not sure what that was, sticky brown liquid on the kitchen floor, even after the cleaners had been in, and the rest of the floors were clean. Cockroaches in the bedroom. So, I wouldn't stay here again. Ever. Noise from pool and power outages go with the territory.

The sliding door to our room was broken and would hardly slide, and the lock only just worked. The bathroom door didn't shut and the lock on that door didn't even meet the other side to be able to close it. We weren't told that there would be live entertainment directly below our room and our children could not sleep through the loudness, and they can usually sleep anywhere. To finish our stay off, the free airport shuttle that was supposed to have been provided, ended up using the rest of our money, which we'd kept aside to buy breakfast at the airport. The pool was lovely otherwise.

The hotel was fine for a transit hotel. We were told there was a free airport transfer but only when we got to the hotel from the ferry terminal did we find out that the free shuttle was only "from" the airport and not "to" the airport. I don't think a single staff member even smiled at us, and we waited at the reception desk for 15 minutes waiting for the receptionist to get off the phone without her even making eye contact with us despite the fact that I was standing 1 metre in front of her. The breakfast was very basic, without even coffee. We were the only foreigners there and everyone but us got a variety of fruit (bananas, papaya, watermelon, etc.) whereas we only got 2 pieces of papaya and 1 small slice of orange that was so bitter it was uneatable. The room had Air Conditioning which was nice, and the location was walking distance to the big supermarket (Jet), a couple good restaurants, and some other stores.

Good food(compared to other places around) room was clean and quite, this is the place you want to stay for a day when you have just landed in Nadi before u go to other islands or stay there to relax for one day just before you fly out. Its very close to airport and town
