Candlewood Suites Nogales by IHG

I have stayed at the Candlewood Suites in Nogales Arizona. on two separate occasions totaling about a month. thus, I got to know the staff quite well. First the manager, who also runs the Holiday Inn Express next door is truly excellent with great adaptability and a philosophy that the guest comes first. Second this attitude permeates the staff. Largely young, they do everything for you. I was amazed, for example, how fast they would have map quest directions available for me, almost before I could utter the words. On the one occasion, they immediately switched rooms for me to better accommodate my needs, and to top it all off, because I was sensitive to one of the products that they were using in the washing of the sheets and towels, they did the actual wash, complete with folding it all up, and delivering the laundry to the room, using a different product, without even a hint of something being beyond the regular call of duty. They were most friendly, always helpful, and a joy to communicate with. I felt as if they treated me better than they would treat a family member. I, highly, recommend this hotel. I will, always stay there, and maybe, even if I were visiting the Tucson area, choose this hotel over the ones in Tucson, so superior is the staff in Nogales.

The staff is really friendly and supportive of their guests needs. I asked for recommendations of restaurants and gave me several options with a discount for staying with them. The rooms are clean. I was able to use the pool at their sister property. I recommend this hotel for any traveler.

Very nice hotel and very different. There no breakfast here. But full refrigerator and big microwave and stove full size coffee maker but it did leak out water. We shopped at walmart to get food Only five min. Away We travel alot and was sick of hotel breakfast in other chain So this hotel worked for us There house keeping once a week. So you pass in towels to front desk and change your own trash. You are next to I hop and other restaurants. They recommend the chicken place across the street and pizza hut delivers. We mostly stayed in to eat with walmart food we bought. Very nice people. They do have a little I guess you call it a grocery store in the hotel. I really liked it here and recommend this place. Only complaint is leaking coffee maker and tv was very slow but they had a dish cable system and when storm came through one day it did not work. Convince me not to get a dish and stay with cable at my house. Well thanks again for a great stay. We will be staying here for sure in future stays

Great room bed a little too hard for me, wifi sucked but overall very good for the money!

It was only a one night stay. It was a very good nights sleep. The staff were courteous and attentive.

I came here after a dismal night at motel 6. I'm so glad I did. Will be staying here when I go to Nogales AZ. A nice clean room with a little kitchenette and a clean bathroom. Exactly what I'm looking for when traveling. Also the front desk staff was so nice and friendly.

Overall I have no complaints about this hotel, the location, or the cost. My only concern is the fact that I reserved a king bed and was told upon check in that the only room available was a double.

I'm a former executive with a well known national hotel chain, and the manager of this hotel has got it RIGHT. It's clean (high priority on my list) my king bed was very comfortable, the suite was roomy and they have really nice towels! This is far from a luxury hotel, but presents an excellent value for my hard earned dollar. The front desk staff was very pleasant. The only down side is the location near a very heavy traffic area, but that is also the same situation with the Holiday Inn literally right next door. Get a room on the side of the hotel away (or just bring ear plugs) from the highway and you'll be pleased. The final vote is I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

If you need Internet while on the road, look elsewhere. I've never seen such pathetic Internet service in many years of business travel. Ping 667 / Download 0.49 MBPS / Upload 0.36 MBPS. Dial up would be faster. Rooms ok, but hallways dingy and depressing, may be the awful lighting. Stuck here for a week, I'm gonna die with this useless Internet.

Very nice suite hotel with well equipped kitchenette to cook your own food which is a nice break from eating out every day, friendly staff Located in good area with supermarket restaurants and shopping nearby and of course close to the Mexico border crossing.
