Wymara Resort & Villas

Resort was generally clean, restaurant food was good for lunch and dinner. Some of the staff were well trained and hospitable (mostly from LatAm countries where they had training at other luxury hotels).

The value equation of this resort is the worst I've seen. It is priced at the level of Michelin Key hotels, and yet delivered service and experience on par with a Hilton or Hyatt. Breakfast offering is a basic, disorganized buffet. Staff is very inconsistently trained - some great, and some seemingly lost. For example, a gentleman brought appetizers to our table and asked if they were ours, while we were all eating ice cream. About three minutes later he came back and was going to set bread down on our table before I stopped him and clarified we were eating dessert. The lounge chairs around the pool and beach are very difficult to get as they allow guests to simply reserve them all day. Staff compounded the issue by saving chairs for guests. One day we came to breakfast at 7:15am and staff members were already taking books out of the "shared library" and putting them on lounge chairs to save them for guests. If you came down at 9am all the chairs were "taken" even though they would sit empty for most of the day. Same issue on the beach. Room service brought our order incorrect multiple times, tried to deliver other rooms' orders to us, people not staying at the resort regularly came in off the beach to use the facilities because they saw there were no control points, etc. If you were paying a Hilton price, no big deal. Paying a Four Seasons price, no thanks.

Food was amazing. Service was impeccable. Nothing was left out. Smiling faces every day. Everyone was super helpful and accommodating. We couldn’t have asked for a better accommodation.

Beautiful and clean

We had a walk out room with a patio within steps of the beautiful beach. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this property to family and friends!
